Rabbi Jacobsen is a brilliant intellect and a deep thinker who spiritual soul is as bright as the North star. I am Jewish but you don’t have to follow Judaism to absorb the deep messages in this best-selling book. I see why it’s a bestseller around the world, and that is because Rabbi Jacobson touches the soul of mankind.

An amazing book from a genious sharing his phenomenal insights. The world should read it.

The book was dirty and had spots of sticky stuff on it. Disappointed, but I hope the read is worth it.

I'm Jewish but I read a lot of theological books. I'm also a nationally performing fulltime ventriloquist (check my name on the internet) and do a LOT of shows for Chabads. But about two years ago I decided to find out more about Chabads, and what blew me away was the wonderful theology and philsophy You do NOT have to be Jewish to like this book. To me, it fits in with The Power of Now and so many other books that put things into a more theological and spiritual context. It is so easy to read, so deep, and many of the essays with stay with you for hours. I was gifted this as a hardcover by a rabbi I did a show for. I recently ordered it so it's on my kindle and I've gifted my copy to my sister, who sent me The Power of Now and some other books. This is such a deep, easy to read book -- and it cuts across all theologies. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The author records the Rebbe's statements, actions, shared experiences, and most of all, the Rebbe's compassion to others. The bar is set very high for us, if we choose to live a Meaningful Life. This book can provide a "small" insight to help understand and find that meaning, by the Rebbe's example, in order to achieve this Worthy Goal. This could be surprisingly simple. The Rebbe wanted the World to become a better place; it starts with one kind small Act. That Act takes on a life of its own and grows.

I first encountered Rabbi Simon Jacobson on Youtube, giving a lecture on meditation. I had no idea Jewish folks meditated! I kept returning, to more lectures, then found this book. It was so helpful to me, I took notes into my diary, and realized this was a book I would have to return to, again and again, as my understanding matures. How to deal with personal tragedy, how to deal with large-scale tragedy, we're surprising and helpful. My relationship with God has become more clear.

This is a beautiful well written book, that brought up a lot of new thoughts and important life questions. I definitely recommend it. 👍

Easy read, life enhancing

The content of the book is quite good and inspiring. Only the footnotes are missing (they are only indicated) when reading the digital version.

Toward a Meaningful life was well written and inspiring. A great read for anyone looking for an inspiring self-help book. The book uses insights and stories from various sources to explain the meaning behind all of the important stages of life. A great read for people looking for answers and parents raising children.

Gives you a spiritual balance. Rereadable. Very good

Every single human being should read it!
