Cool Collection spanning their entire catalog
When I discovered this collection, I decided to go with it as opposed to any of their other hits collections. Not only do you get all of the big hit singles, but other album cuts, demos, and even outtakes that didn't make an album. The first disc features tunes from their first three albums, Pearls of Passion, Look Sharp!, and Joyride, as well as the Pretty Woman tune It Must Have Been Love. Disc 2 starts off with more songs from Joyride, then Tourism and Crash! Boom! Bang!. Disc 3 has the four new tracks from their Don't Bore Us - Get to the Chorus hits collection, then songs from Have A Nice Day. Disc 4 starts with a few demos, then songs from Room Service, Charm School, and one song from Travelling, their last album released before this collection. The discs come in a very thick plastic case that also has a booklet full of info about the band, how they got started, their road to success, etc. with lots of pics.My favorite song of all time is Dangerous, but other songs on this collection I am currently playing on repeat are: Paint, Joyride, Fading Like A Flower, Perfect Day, Queen of Rain, and Stars. If all you know of Roxette is their hit songs from the late 80's and early 90's, this collection has those along with a good smattering of their other lesser known songs.

The Roxbox Mk 2, the update
Being the catalogue in full was switched over from EMI (which merged with Universal) to Parlophone/Warner/Rhino, and it's close to Roxette's 30th anniversary, it was time to do a reboot. New packaging, updated tracklisting, and new liner notes, some new photos. The original DVD was 2-sided and compressed so badly that it was unwatchable...the picture was reduced to a grid of squares. The new essay is good but left out some key details, like Dean Cushman's name. They could have fit a song more on each disc, so certain ones didn't need to be left out from the old tracklisting, like those rare demos. I'm happy it's up to date with that recent single remix of the B-side "The Sweet Hello, The Sad Goodbye", and songs off of "Charm School" and too bad only one off "Travelling (Tourism 2)". The surprise was with "Reveal"...the original on the 1st Roxbox was just beautiful with that dominating oboe blending beautifully with Marie's voice...on this new Robox, the song is a pretty cool remix but replaces that oboe with beats and keyboards...I miss the oboe.A welcome update but save the old one if you wish...I hope Parlophone/Warner/Rhino releases a complete DVD/BluRay with an up-to-date video collection, the MTV Unplugged show, and those documentaries from the "Complete Videos and More" DVD...I wonder if the whole Rox catalogue will be further updated in the switch to Warner, as 2CD/DVD sets?? The remastering sounds great on this set. As well as Per's solo records, the Gyllene Tider catalogue, Marie's solo catalogue, the Lonely Boys project, etc?? Maybe Rhino will use their care and reissue expertise like they're doing with the Bee Gees catalogue??Per is a pop genius and Marie is the greatest LIVING female singer today, aside from Rumer, so they need and deserve this care that EMI lacked in the 90s and 00s...just saying...

Great songs I knew and more great one I didn't know
I recently heard a few Roxette songs on YouTube and fell some nostalgia. I wanted to buy a CD and I wasn't sure which one. In the end I picked this one because it had every song I knew on it and a lot more music. I've actually listened to the whole four disc set back to back while working at home a few times now and discovered some songs that I really like that I didn't know existed. If you like the sound of Roxette, give this set a try.

Unexpectedly pretty good group
A petty extensive compilation of their music. Heard one of their songs at an event, and thought I'd see/hear what else they had. Was pleasantly surprised to find that this is/was a pretty decent group. Worth the price. You'll probably find some "Easter Eggs" like I did.
