So shopping for a wake shaper there are a lot of different options out there that I looked over. I came across Tidal Wake on the web and started poking around. I called the company to get some info and ended up speaking to the owner. He gave me all the time I needed with questions and explained their products until my comfort level was met. One receiving the XLR8 we put it to the test and it immediately corrected the wash on my wake for surfing making it a smooth fun wake to ride. Now this being a review here is the short version. 1.XLR8 WORKS and at $200 its hard to go wrong. 2. Customer service was outstanding which is a big one for me when buying on the internet.

After trying several different wake shapers. I purchased the Tidal Wave shaper and not only did it clean the wave up more. I also found that the boat was more fuel efficient and also didn't need as much power to get to speed. Very impressed with the performance of this product and high recommended it to others. Also love the fact that blade is detachable so you can store in the bag that comes with. Was not expecting that. 🤙😎 and also gives you options to change color if your like me and like to match. Surfs up. 😎

The suction cups have never fallen off. We use it on a 19 foot ski boat and it creates the wave that we want.

This suck gate worked just as good as any other name brand wake shaper. But the second time we used it, the latch broke. And unfortunately we are beyond the 30 day refund policy. Super disappointed in the quality.

7/20/21 Changing my rating due to durability issues. Plastic retainer fell off and lost in the lake, black plate fell off and luckily found it floating. Reattached with screws to save my weekend. Got home and saw the black plate had a crack in it. Will be going to a 1 piece design.This did the trick to evenly weight my 2008 Moomba LSV and provide a well shaped wave for surfing. I haven't ridden it yet due to water temp but with trying it out multiple times, I'm happy with it.

Kicks up a nice wave to surf with decent push as well.
