Perfect for the price!!!
For the money, there really isn't much to complain about. BUT that doesn't mean it doesn't have some cons. I will try to review this quad to the best of my ability and help you decide if you would buy this or not. Keep in mind. You're getting an out of the box ready to fly quadcopter WITH transmitter. This is my very first and entry to this hobby quadcopter. Although it isn't perfect, it is exactly what you are looking for if all you want in a entry level, cheap, but fully functional quadcopter. I've been flying it the past couple of days and I've had plenty of crashes, one major one and all I had to do is remove the soil off the arm with my finger and keep on rollin'. They do give you extra props but I suggest you buy some more. It comes with the Gemfan brand ones and they work pretty well. When I first got it I just opened one package of props and put them on without thinking and it wasn't lifting off, so I sent an email to the seller and I got a fairly quick response saying if it was defective they would refund or replace (of course I would have had to prove it wasn't my fault) but turns out I just had 2 wrong props on it. This is not a PERFECT drone, by all means, but the reason I gave it 5 stars is because of the price, and well... IT JUST WORKS! At less than $200 It was exactly what I was looking for at the price I was looking to get it. If you're thinking about buying your first 250 race quad, don't think too hard, if you don't want to break the bank, this is perfect, also if you decide to buy an expensive one later, this is still a great quad to have and keep on practicing the tight flying stuff. You simply plug the battery in, it's programmed to be armed with throttle down and right (disarmed by going throttle down and left.) The battery however, you can't simply get a normal one from lumenier or zippy, this one has a different type of connection which I'm sure you can modify or there's an adapter or something. I wasn't planning on doing a review but since the seller politely asked, I of course said yes after he tried helping me when he thought I had a defective drone.I will post some pictures so you guys can have a better look, it's dirty, I've been taking it to hell and back and it's held up pretty good, in the picture where it's turn upside down, in one of those black little wire bundles you can see I used a metal zip tie, that's because I guess I landed it too hard hitting the ground or must have hit something but that bundle was only being held by a small thin zip tie so I modified it a little bit then covered it with some electrical tape, but like I said, it is a very cost friendly race quad. Here are some pros and consPRO: It's tough (very tough), it's pre-built (ready to fly), it's programmed with transmitter, extra props, nice packaging, comes with battery and charger, and it's CHEAP! Dirt cheap for what you're gettingCONS: Build quality (isn't top notch, it's put together just fine but there's lots of excess wires) battery plug (it's some strange thing I don't even know how to look for spare batteries.)And that's it. So if you're considering getting this quad, DO IT! You won't regret it, I know I don't, I now purchased a more expensive Lumenier QAV250 because I want to go FPV, although you can do that with this one as well. If you're thinking why spend the $189 then go buy a more expensive one? Well... I had no idea if I would even like to fly these, or if I was even gonna be any good at it.... Turns out I LOVED IT!

The first was great...but did not last
This is my second YKS 250 Quad. The first was great...right out of the box. I'm hopefully this one will deliver the same quality. However, this item came with one of the prop locks missing. I hope this is the only problem l will have with this quad. So after almost 3 weeks of flying this first YKS 250 Quad, the left rear motor burnt out or perhaps the ESC went dead. I tried recalibrating the gyros and accelerometer bias using Librepilot but that did not work. Boo! I had to return it to Amazon. It was a very nice 250 until the motor died. I have a second unit still flying. Hopefully, I can keep this in the air for much longer than 2.5 weeks.Update: The second YKS 250 fell out of the sky when either the ESC or the motor failed. This 250 quad lasted 11 days. I ordered replacement ESCs. I have installed a new motor but the issue is still present. Perhaps the new ESC will solve that problem. I cannot recommend anyone buying this product. It's nolonger available on Amazon so that is a good thing.

The battery didn’t work
Mine cane with a faulty battery barely lifts off the ground and it won’t charge the motors don’t seem to have a lot of power and it has a terrible design

... out of the box however the build quality is HORRIBLE whoever assembled it has no idea whats going on
Its decent and works right out of the box however the build quality is HORRIBLE whoever assembled it has no idea whats going on, the esc's AND the pdb are mounted UNDERNEATH the chassis. so when you land your hitting directly on your esc's and pdb. this is so stupid. i would have rated it lower but all i had to do was open the box and plug things in and it flew great. just a horrible build.

I love the quad
I love the quad, but it could have been setup more efficiently. Like the ESCs on top of the arms, the receiver could have been in the back of the quad to make it easier to add fpv, and the landing gear needs to be more secure. That's the only problems I have with this quad. Overall it is amazing and worth the buy. Thanks
