Nice, healthy bunch of Hornwort!
Generous bunch for a low price, possibly the lowest price on Amazon with free Prime shipping. Came much faster than the estimated delivery date. Arrived well packaged, alive and healthy. Had some shedding but the Coontail variety is so lush it didn't show at all. This is a fast grower and can be used as a floating or potted plant so it doesn't need big roots to do well. I secured mine in a mini flower pot with a twist tie. This is a hardy species that can do well without much light so it's a great choice for any aquarium. I'm very happy with my purchase! Thanks!

Thought it would grow, it mostly didn't
Hornwort update: I trimmed the very tops of the stems and floated them for a week or two and now I have maybe 3 or 4 living stems that are still tiny but growing. The whole rest of the plant is dead, shed all the needles into the tank and is melting and making a mess. Other plants seem to be doing okay so far.-------Right up top, I think 4 stars for live plants on Amazon is a good expectation. I purchased 3 different plants in one order from this seller, so I'm going to copy the same review to each item. I'll try to update as things grow in.I ordered Hornwort, Java Moss, and Crypt Parva for a new mini shrimp jar. I placed my order on a Saturday evening and I did choose to pay for faster shipping to ensure they had the best chance. To my surprise, the order was filled and shipped Sunday morning. I just received them Wednesday morning and planted everything. It was in a box with a bubblewrap bag with the plants inside. Everything was intact.I received a tissue culture of something for free with my order, not sure what it is yet. Looks green and healthy, we'll see - I sometimes have bad luck with tissues. The hornwort I'm giving 4 stars. It feels strong, but bristly and it's browner than I would hope. Kind of a messy bundle, but it's okay for me because I chopped it into pretty short stems anyways. I expect the color to improve over time, maybe with some trimming and replanting. The java moss also gets 4 stars. It's java moss. Maybe the clump of moss seemed a little small... but again this was a situation where I really didn't need very much, so it worked out. It looks and feels healthy, and it will grow. The crypt parva gets 5 stars. Looked just as good, if not better, than a plant in a bag would look if I drove to my LFS and bought one. Big and healthy and easy to split into smaller pieces. I was worried the crown might be mushy but it's awesome.Overall, my experience is better than I expected. I'll try to update in a few weeks once things settle in, but based on how they look and feel, it would likely be my fault if they died.

Does not need roots just throw it in the water
I read a lot of the reviews and most people are uneducated regarding the product they are buying. Hornwort does not tend to have “roots” and does best free floating doing whatever its heart desires. I simply opened the package and threw them in my koi pond and indoor tank. Anytime you buy plants whether vegetables or pond plants you run the risk of introducing new bacteria and pests. I was greatly please with what came with it and my koi pond will be happy this summer!

A special pest surprise
So when I got these I immediately discovered something in the packing that was absolutely disgusting. Some sort of big nasty looking legless insect or what was likely some sort of pupae or cocoon. Judging by other reviews I'm guessing this was a dragonfly larvae or something which is not something I want in my aquarium with my snails. The plants themselves seemed a mix of yellow and brown (dying), though with a few really nice green pieces so not 100% bad, though a big gamble on whether or not there are any more pests on them.

Plants
I was sceptical when this arrived as the color seemed off and a little brown. I tossed in the tank any way. Plant has done well in my high ammonia gold fish tank and already grown some. It does shed a lot and could clog a smaller filter

Healthy and doing great
I received a single plant - all the stems were from the same node.It took quite a while for the packet to arrive, so I expected to see a lot of melting. But that didn't happen. The melting was minimal. After washed, it looked so beautiful right away (see the 2nd photo).I put the entire bunch in a plastic lunch container, filled it with half tap water and half tank water, then closed it with a transparent lid and placed it under a LED light. The Hornwort did not melt in the container. After the initial couple of days, I could hardly find more than a few newly fallen leaves (needles) when doing water change. A few days later I moved the whole thing to where it belongs.Since then, only about two weeks have passed. But I have cut its stems at least a couple of times. With strong light at the minimum of 10 hours a day, I hope it will grow fast.

Not 6 bunches as pictured nor described
Did not receive 6 bunches as described. I instead got 3 lumps of clippings and couldn’t find any roots so I didn’t know which way to plant them.Clusters just floating in my tank now and due to not having a root system I don’t think they will survive. Not 6 bunches as mine arrive with a single rubber band to bunch one big bundle. Greened up in the tank quickly and rinsed 3 times in my RO filtered faucet in the kitchen because I read there were possible pest snails and ick could be given to the fish. I hope these don’t make my fish sick despite me rinsing them first.Shipping took forever and not worth the wait

Happy and excited!
Product came in looking at little brown (to be expected after 5 days in a box lol) I was able to split the plant into 3 tanks from 1 order! I'm very excited for it to grow so I can add it to my pond 👍🏻
