My favorite strap by far1
Well, the headline kinda says it all; I absolutely love this thing.I play a non-weight-relieved Les Paul Standard so I can attest that this thing being able to handle quite a bit of weight; that said even with that very heavy instrument it is actually very well balanced and comfortable. The leather isn't super high quality but is definitely good, and with a little use it has softened beautifully. The strap looks sharp and definitely will fit nicely with any guitar. The locking system is genius, it holds on super tight and I never even think about it falling off. Just yesterday I took like a quarter/half mile walk carrying my LP on this thing and not even holding it and didn't worry a bit about it. While getting it off the guitar takes a bit longer than something like a DiMarzio ClipLock, it goes on super fast and can be done in the dark really easily (an advantage of this over the ClipLock I have on my strat). The very best part of this strap though is the fact that there is NO DRILLING NEEDED. I can leave my baby exactly how it is but still have a strap that lets me jump around like a maniac onstage and really put on a show with complete peace of mind.Totally recommend this to any guitarist anywhere and I really hope D'Addario expands this line for more styles and I will definitely be getting more in the future.

So Far So Good
This is my first locking strap. I bought it for my Fender Squier Strat and it works really well. I like the ease with which I can apply this strap; just place the end on and twist the locks. You don't have to buy any extra merchandise to go with it and Planet Waves has a little notice that says if it doesn't fit they'll send you some adapters for it if you'll grab the shipping. It should fit most guitars though. I can't imagine actually needing those adapters. The leather is real nice (and smells like a new leather jacket). It seems pretty durable. I play in a rock/worship band and do a few jumps with my guitar. This strap has held it in place really well. I've only had it for about two months, but I don't have any complaints. I recommend it to all my friends. It feels really comfortable and secure around my neck. I think it's a great value.

Good Quality, Locking Ends Are Great, But You'll Need A Wider Padded Strap For A Heavy Instrument
I love the locking strap ends. They work well and don't scratch the strap pins or the guitar body. The length is easy to adjust and the materials seem to be of high quality. I also liked that it was classy basic black and not some rainbow pride of colors, cannabis leaves, etc. This may be a five star guitar strap if you have a lightweight guitar. I have a medium heavy electric bass and the strap cut into my neck and shoulder area and caused a temporary pinched nerve, and that was when I was seated and a lot of the weight rested in my lap. It'd probably be torture to stand on stage for five hours with this strap supporting a heavy electric bass guitar. I got a wider padded strap cover to use with this strap and now it's very comfortable, even for three hour seated sessions.

If you’re in need of a reliable strap this thing is amazing
I play Jackson Dinky pretty much exclusively and they’ve got pretty big strap pegs and these straps fit perfectly. They stay in place when moving around but are also easy to switch to another guitar. I had one of these 20 years ago and they were pretty new then and not what they are now. Glad they stuck with it to perfect the product

It just does
It’s a decent feeling strap that has an install free locking system for a very affordable price. I’m not sure how to write a review about this, it just works. Exactly like it says it will. I don’t remember the exact width I ordered, but it’s not going anywhere. It feels super secure any time I have it on. I was just coming back to look at a different color strap for the guitar I just bought, and decided to give a review while I was here. I love it so much.

Excellent Product! Extremely Useful! Some Negatives Though!
Any gigging guitarist's nightmare is to have his precious axe drop onto the stage and this one is no exception. And so when I saw this product I decided to give it a try and boy am I glad I did! This strap fits over the large strap buttons on my PRS and the intelligent design ensures that the only way this strap is coming off is when I decide to do so. It's very easy to put on and to take off you just need to hit the release before turning the wheel which ensures it's virtually impossible to come off on stage by its own. I like the design as well and I found it very comfortable to use. Great idea and very useful.Updated 5 Nov 2012:There are some negatives though which I recently discovered after a 2-hour gig; the plastic part that helps with changing the strap length is fragile and actually broke while I was on stage! While I didn't notice it until I left the stage it was disappointing as I didn't even move around much and so I don't know how it could break so easily. Also, when I took the strap off later I noticed that at the tail end the strap actually scuffed the guitar body quite badly. There is a part of the connecting end of the strap that is not rubber and that part (the hard plastic circle) actually did most of the damage as it rubbed against the guitar surface. A solution would be to make the inner part of the circle rubberised as well or to make the connecting plastic ends less thick so that they don't come into such close contact with the guitar body. Planet Waves would suggest using their longer pins but that defeats the purpose as the only reason I'm getting this and not one of their competitors' versions is because I don't want to drill or to remove my existing pins; in fact, even with the longer pins the scuffing may still occur over time although perhaps less drastically.Fortunately I'm not too fussed about my guitar body being scuffed through use as I personally feel a guitar that shows some wear after years of gigging adds character but I'm sure not every guitarist will feel this way and so my advice is to only use this on stage on a guitar that you don't mind getting some wear and not on your prized collector's items. I have superglued the broken plastic but it doesn't hold and breaks again the moment I put the strap on my shoulder and I have attached the softer surface of the Velcro cloth stickers that I bought for my effects rack on the rubber portions of both ends of the strap to see if this will minimise any further scratching damage to my guitar. So far the velcro seems to help with the scratching. To summarise, it really does its main function well in that there was no chance of the strap coming off and my guitar crashing to the stage; as least it does that part very well but too bad it breaks easily at the strap length adjuster and scratches the tail end of the guitar body.Thank God I decided not to use my treasured Gibson Nighthawk Standard for the gig!
