Just a high quality tool, well balanced, sturdy. Like using it very much.

Had to unearth 4 tree roots. Took me pretty much a day to do 1 using the typical garden tool set. Bought this and smashed through the remaining 3 in a few hours. This thing does the business, but you do need to put your back into it.

Got a problem with roots, no problem.Got a problem with old concrete slabs or patios, no problem.Got a problem planting due to rocky soil, no problem.This is great fun and just makes life so much easier, if you are reasonably fit and healthy and under 80, then you can make life so much easier with this pick.I am having such fun with it, can't stop making holes!

This traditional wooden-handled mattock has been used for heavy work in the garden and proved more than adequate for the task. Packaging would be an issue - but it would have been helpful if the head were securely fitted to the handle before delivery.

Extremely durable - used it to get through a 10-12" layer of solid rubble in a new build garden and not a scratch on it.Love that the head is put on from the top of the shaft rather than the bottom so no amount of swinging will let it fly off the end and smash the greenhouse or someone's head!

Item arrived quickly and initially I was very happy with the product. After just a few months use the metal head snapped and the spike point snapped off at the base. Not good quality and not durable.

Bought this to remove over grown bamboo from my yard and it has made light work of it! I find myself looking for other things to use it for, it’s that good.Rock & Stone!

Present for my husband. The way the end is fitted means it couldn’t come off so it’s safe. He’s very pleased with it.
