NVX has made a component car speaker budget gem!
Looking to get that premium sound by installing a proper component speaker set in your ride? Don't have the money for an expensive component set? These are the perfect speakers for you. I've had my aftermarket system in my '05 Dodge Ram 1500 for awhile now. I used a factory amp bypass harness which gave me access to the wiring for the 4 door speakers, run to my 4 channel amplifier. I decided to originally go with a set of coaxial speakers for the front and rear doors, I started with crappy Boss 6x9 speakers, upgraded to a set of 6x9 Sony speakers, then eventually upgraded to a set of 6x9 Pioneer speakers in the front, and 6.5s from Pioneer in the rear. I was never happy with the sound, being tinny and ear piercing when the volume was turned up, I also missed the sound of having high range speakers in the dashboard like the factory 7 speaker Infinity system did. Having a Skar Audio SDR-12 on my backseat, the system had excellent low end, but my coaxial Pioneer speakers continued to disappoint me especially up front. After seeing a couple youtube channels I watch say good things about NVX, I decided to look into them and I found this component set. A proper 6.5 inch 2 way component set for 80 bucks? No way. After seeing an overwhelming amount of positive reviews I decided to order and install them, I used a 6x9 to 6.5/5.25 adapter from Scosche, and a 3.5 inch to tweeter adapter set from MJM speaker adapters. I used the existing speaker wires for the front doors for the mids, and I ran new wire to the dashboard for the tweeters, the crossovers were mounted by the amp. The way these speakers take power is unbelievable, you actually want to turn the volume up and you don't get punished with ear piercing treble for doing so, just smooth clean sound. The midrange and bass response are excellent for these speakers, the higher notes through the tweeters sound pleasant to the ear as well, especially being mounted in dashboard instead of low in the doors. If you want premium sound without emptying your entire life savings, I would recommend this set, they sound great off amplifier power but I'm sure they'd sound fine off your stock system or just power from an aftermarket radio. Great job NVX, you have gained me as a fan. I'm looking forward to trying out their 6.5 inch 2 way coaxial set in my rear doors, although the Pioneers currently installed do fine for rear fill. Some notes about this set and what you get in the box:In the box you will find the 2 6.5 inch midrange drivers, the 2 dome tweeters, 2 passive crossovers, two pods to mount the tweeters in if you're not surface mounting them, and the instruction manual. Everything is of good quality and well put together. The included crossovers do come apart revealing holes for mounting screws inside, as well as a -3 dB tweeter attenuation switch, a feature I was not expecting on a budget set. To surface mount the tweeters, place them in a mounting hole of your choice, and press on the included metal rings until the tweeters are held snugly in place. I would have preferred a threaded lock ring instead, but their solution does work fine. If you're installing this set with a stock system, you will need to make sure the crossovers are being fed a full range signal. If you're installing these in an older vehicle with a simple 2 or 4 speaker system, this should be a simple install. I hope I have included all the details you need to know about this set, I will be including a picture of one of the mids installed as well as one of the tweeters. I have left reviews on the adapters I used if you are curious about those. If you are curious about bypassing the 7 speaker Infinity system in 02-05 Ram trucks, I left a write up on my Kenwood KDC-X303 review. Thanks for reading!

Amazing Performance on a Budget
Very exceptional set of speakers for the price. Crossovers are good and are what the name brands give you when you spend 3x as much. Name brands at this price only give you a very basic inline crossover. Sound quality is excellent as is the power handling. Silk tweeters are smooth and crisp...If you have the extra $40 and space in your vehicle I would highly recommend the NVX® XSP65KIT. As good as this set is the few extra dollars with NVX gets you an even more amazing value and a big upgrade in quality and output.

Blown on stock JBL 07’ Camry System…
Sounded great for the first two days. Put the VSP69 coaxial 4 ohm variant in the front doors and rear deck. Rear already sounds like complete a**. Front right is going too. Coils got too hot, bass reproduction is severely limited, and it makes an obnoxious rattling sound. I don’t have the bass turned up in the stock stereo equalizer since I have a sub in the back with a level control so I was assuming these would be more than capable of handling a stock system. Do not buy.Another thing - Customer service from NVX is nonexistent. Sat on hold for an hour. Emailed NVX twice too. Nothing. Extremely disappointed.

Exceptional value
Exceptional value; these sound many price points above their cost- great midrange and highs; not shrill, good detail- and more mid bass than you’d expect from a 4” driver. These sound great!Actually used them to replace the speakers in my sauna- used NVX separates in a budget car build several years ago and was so impressed; have remained a “go-to” if cost is a concern- killer value-

Great sound, good price
These went into a 2002 subaru forester. 6.5 in the front, 4" in the rear. Alpine headunit, no Amp. At first I was little underwhelmed at the sound quality. But after the first week breaking them in, they loosened up a bit and came alive. The 6.5 are rich and have good low end, even with low pass at 80herts, and clear highs. The 4" obviously don't get low, but the highs are clear and crisp. Remind me of my infinity kappas. Only issue is the 4" mount a little too deep with the tweeters, so the stock covers wont fit. But these speakers look good, so it's no big deal

Great speakers for price
So I just installed this component system on a 2011 HD Street Glide. Finding somewhere to mount the crossovers proved to be challenging, but I got creative. The tweeter speakers were a little larger than my stock tweeters, so could not just straight replace my old ones. But again, creativity for the win. Everything fit very slugly under my fairing without issue. As far as sound quality, the difference was unreal. This is the 2nd time I've replaced the speakers. I had replaced the original equipment HD speakers with a pair of Kicker speakers, and was amazed at the difference then. But I have to say, if the increase in performance from stock to Kicker, was a 100% improvement, the upgrade to the NVX component system was a 1000% improvement over the Kickers. I only have fairing speakers, but now have a sound that is a complete surround-sound. The sound is very deep and rich, especially next to the Kicker speaker. I only hooked up 1 side first so that I could compare the difference, and the NVX made the Kicker sound very "tinny". I'll mention that one of the Kicker speakers had actually blown, which is what sparked the replacement. But this NVX system is hands down the best speakers I have heard in this price range. They sound like Bose speakers. With the Kickers, I could never turn the stereo above 15 out of 40 on volume, or they would sound distorted. With the NVX, I'm at 10 out of 40 to outperform the Kickers. The speakers handle 15 like it's nothing, but it's so loud, I can't even hear my bike any more. And my exhaust is LOUD. I expect I'll actually be able to hear the music with a full-face helmet on, which is also difficult usually.
