Looks vintage on purpose. Very cute and better quality than expected! NOT plastic, kind of like a faux-stone. Keep in mind only 4x4 inch each, so can use as stand alone decorative pieces OR hang on wall as they do have a hole in back for a nail. That was a pleasant surprise, mine are on the wall now and are super cute!! A steal for the price in my opinion.

when I received the items 2nof the squares came in all scuffed up and black marks on them that shouldn't have been there. I know it wasn't expensive but I sill expected to receive a decent quality
