This item makes lemon chicken soup just lovely. You will need to add chicken and coconut milk. The flavor is so different from anything else I’ve tried. My son absolutely loves this soup.

I have purchased this Tom Kha paste several times. I typically buy it by the three pack so I always have it on hand. The instructions are easy to follow. I recommend putting the packet in warm or hot water before opening. This makes it much easier to squeeze out of the packet. It's full of flavor! I add small canned mushroom pieces, fresh cilantro, and fresh red pepper. This is by far way better than any you can find in a can.

For some reason, tom ka kai concentrate is getting hard to find. This paste is very deeply flavored, very fresh, and delicious. It's a bit hotter than my tastes run, but totally acceptable. Just add carrots to your soup and the hotness dissipates.

I only have this every once in a while, because I'm sensitive to MSG and will wake up with a puffy face and swollen ankles. But I really like the flavor. Getting it out of the bag is tricky, putting it in hot water as instructed doesn't really work. I put it on a cutting board and use a scraper to get it out.

When you want an authentic Tom Kha Gai, just provide the meat and a few complimentary ingredients and you’ll have a delicious soup in about 30 minutes. I highly recommend this soup starter. Just follow the recipe instructions on the package. - Don’t forget to add Jasmine rice!
