Honest Review (No Bribe Received)
This product came with a card offering a "monetary" reward in exchange for a five star review, which is of course guaranteed to inflate the positive feedback. So here's my HONEST review. I'm actually very peeved at this company for saying this has non looping sounds when that is a complete lie. These tracks not only loop, but they are very short before they repeat, so it's hard not to notice. My brain does an annoying thing of trying to listen for the end of these kinds of tracks, and I find really short loops irritating. Even though I can enjoy a song on repeat for hours, song tracks are at least a couple of minutes, not a mere 30 seconds. I specifically bought this machine for the non looping, and assumed that meant it would at least have longer tracks. Obviously it will loop at some point when you play it for hours but we all know what non looping promises, and this is not at all the case with this machine. Turns out to be as annoying as the cheap one I was trying to replace due to its very short tracks and buzzing speakers. Also, this does not come with a remote, which means only one person can adjust it. That's a hassle when your spouse has very different hearing than you and you want both people to be able to turn the sound off. When one person falls asleep but the other is lying there wanting quiet, the remote is needed. So that's another big negative to me. As for the tracks... honestly, I didn't love them. There are no musical tracks, just sounds. The classic vacuum, fan, and heartbeat sounds are there. There are crickets, a cuckoo, and a grandfather clock that is very loud in its pendulum clicks. To put it simply, they didn't seem very relaxing--more alarming, especially if turned up loud enough to hear well. How are random booms of thunder or loudly crashing waves that sound like a large truck roaring by going to help you sleep? My hubby has commented in the past that the sound of a diffuser dripping loudly made him feel like he had to go for a slash. I think a lot of these water tracks would also make you a bit too bladder focused. If the loops were longer, that would help, but I just don't love the collection. They feel like someone really skimped. You can find hours of truly calming music on Amazon or YouTube, then play them thru your phone. Tonight we plan to fall asleep listening to Max Richter's "Sleep" album. I'm sure it will be far more soothing than this little thing. But while I'm not a fan, you might be, so here's my pros & cons list:PROS* USB power cable can work with your own adapters.* Cable length is short, but could work fine right by your bed using a local plug.* Several categories of tracks with variations within each group. A total of 30 tracks.* Blue operating light isn't too obnoxious in the dark.* White model will hide dust well.* Speaker is good enough to not buzz while playing quietly.* Horizontal row of control buttons is fairly easy to memorize and feel in the dark (you won't be able to see them well).* Small round footprint doesn't take up much space (mine fits on the shelf of a shoe rack).* Well packed, includes instruction book.* Timer allows auto shutoff or indefinite play.CONS* Tracks are very short (under a minute) and loop in a way that's hard to ignore.* Most tracks don't seem very relaxing, making large selection feel pointless.* No instrumental sounds (piano, etc) are used in any tracks.* The frequent looping really interferes with the relaxation effect.* The operating light has to shine at you if you're going to reach the buttons-- could be annoying if you want darkness (I find black electrical tape works well for covering bright lights)* No remote means only one person can adjust the volume/ track during the night.* The company tries to bribe people to give 5 stars, which compromises integrity of user feedback* The company boldface lies about the looping issue, making them completely untrustworthy

Good but not chargeable - not enough low volume settings
When I purchased it the product title/description said it was chargeable but it isn't - the product description has now changed. It can only be powered by usb not charged. It doesn't come with any usb power adapter, so you can't place it where you want unless you get one and it would be better if it could be charged. The first time you turn it on it starts at maximum volume which is a very bad idea. The volume control doesn't have enough steps - the 1st step is too loud really. It has some good/realistic sounds but it could do with more sounds, including more categories of sounds like some of the others have, and have a better selection method (eg. maybe a small lcd display with the choice, with a lot more sounds).

great sounds but some are looped despite the description!
This is a very nice looking and sturdy device. When I first switched on I was immediately impressed by the great sound quality and the range of sounds however after listening closely to the nature sounds (which are the ones I wanted to use) I noticed that quite a few of them were on a 17 second loop (a rain one was on a 13 second loop) which was a major disappointment! You can tell they are looped by picking out a distinct noise in the track and then start counting.. when you get to 17 seconds there is that exact same noise again and then again after another 17 seconds. I don't mind some looping as long as its a decent length..say 5 minutes or so but 17 seconds is ridiculous! If you don't mind this though then you will be fine as it does sound very realistic and some tracks I couldn't tell if they were looped or not as there was not a distinct sound to pick out and count from. But disappointed overall and will be returning and searching for another one that doesn't loop it's nature tracks.

Great white noise machine for baby sleep
I bought this machine to play white noise for my baby during the night. I had tried a few other options before this but they either turned off after a certain amount of time, had a really obvious loop every few seconds or broke after being over-used. This machine can stay on continuously and there is no annoying loop. There are also a few different white noise options and different volumes. I chose one that sounded like being on an aeroplane and used a decibel app to get to a safe volume level for my baby. I like that the on/off button is easy to find in the dark (directly under a sunken line) to avoid pressing other buttons and losing my ideal settings. There is a blue light on the machine but I just cover it with a muslin when I want the room to be pitch black. Really happy with this purchase!

Must have for insomnia and depression
I suffer from anxiety, depression, and subsequently, insomnia. Having tried other sleep hygiene techniques with no success, I tried Alexa with a white noise app, which seemed to work except for when the Internet connection dropped, and I would wake up. I spent a long time looking through various white noise machines before settling on this one based on the good reviews, and price. I am so glad I bought it, it is a lifesaver. It has helped me fall asleep and stay asleep, and done so from the first night. I always thought I needed silence to sleep, but the white noise creates a soothing background that blots out any other noises and stops you distracting yourself. The machine itself runs from the mains, but only has a USB cable, so be aware you'll need either an adaptor, or a USB socket in your plug or extension chord. There is the option of having it on a timer, or looping continuously. I have it looping continuously, and you cannot hear the loop at all. There are different categories of white noise, such as static, fan, weather, environment, heartbeat, and within those categories, about 6 different variants. The blue LED strip can be a bit bright, but nothing some blue tack or a sticker won't fix!Strongly recommend.
