Hoping they’ll help thyroid function
The main downside with this pack I've received is that it expires 11/2021 yet I only received it in the first week of September. It’s a 60 day supply so it only gives me a short period of time in which to use them. Not everyone would want the supplement every single day, but it’ll be just about ok for me as I intend to continue daily so should finish early November.Selenium isn’t really something that has an immediate effective (such as an energising supplement like B vitamins might) but I’m happy enough with these capsules so far.I have a very sensitive stomach and I don’t have any issues taking these capsules. They are easy to take with water and I like that the container is small and flat. I have quite a few different supplements so it’s easier when they take up less space.I am hoping that over time the capsules will help to support my thyroid function and potentially my hair, which looks fine but has been shedding more strands than it should do leading to it being a bit thinner than usual overall.100mcg is well within a sensible range, since 200mcg is often recommended for Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. Although I am only taking one of these capsules, and it states not to exceed the dose.If I get on well with them I may consider an alternative at a higher strength but these seem fine for now. It’s always good to start at a low dose.

Good for the liver
Selenium is one of the 7 supplements I take daily for my Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD). Healing a fatty liver is very slow going, I had an issue with Paracetamol and Lansoprazole, cutting out the former completely and changing the latter to Omeprazole helped a lot but my levels were still way too high and refusing to budge anymore. NAFLD isn't treated on the NHS, they only monitor it with regular blood tests and scans when necessary. I got a book from Amazon at the end of 2017 about how to heal a fatty liver and have been taking these supplements since the beginning of 2018 every day ever since then. I don't actually feel any better but my bloodwork has improved massively since taking them and my doctor has told me that it is working so to carry on doing what I'm doing. These are capsules, rather than tablets, so easy to swallow and there are 60 in the tub, so at 1 a day they will last for 2 months. Selenium is one of the more expensive supplements that I take, so these are reasonably good value at £7.95 for a 2 month's supply. A lot of multivitamins don't contain Selenium, so if you want to include it in your supplement regime you will probably have to take it separately.
