This is an awesome edition of THE HOLY BIBLE
ProsConsidering what you get for the price, less than $12.00 USD: Unbelievable price! “Dirt cheap price, though not cheaply madeA book with a sewn binding that will lie flat on a table when open without having to hold it open. Being new, the binding is stiff, but will soften with use making it lie even flatter when opened to the front or rear 50 pages.Beautiful synthetic binding that that is sewn around the edges and doesn’t pick up stains from moisture on a table or podium due to the type of material it is made of. Also somewhat “grippy’” that resists sliding when placed on an angled surface.Reasonably large 10-11pt newspaper style (serif) fontFifteen pages of awesome monochrome maps that are clear and sharp, thus easy to read.“Beginning a Journey” by Harcourt Religious Publishers, that is over 100 pages long. Image of table of contents included in pictures. This is an awesome addition to this Bible. For even though not a ‘study bible,’ this is excellent spiritual material. Also has a short Concordance in the back, something rarely found in a Catholic Bible.ConsI purchased this edition of the Bible, as one of the reviewers referred to the nice easy to read font used in the printing of this volume. The font is an adequate size, but making it sans serif, and spacing the lines just a little further apart would have made it real easy to read.Very few footnotes, but not being a ‘study Bible, along with the fact that the RSV, and NRSV Bibles rarely have many, this isn’t a problem.

Very Attractive Bible; Great Value in a Catholic NRSV
I was looking for a quality leather-bound Catholic NRSV Bible which was not too expensive, and I found it in this Bible. It features the accurate NRSV version. What I like about Catholic Bibles is its inclusion of the deutero-canonical books (The Apocrypha) along with added chapters at the end of Esther and Daniel.Features:1) There is a Preface to the NRSV Catholic Edition and Preface to the NRSV Anglicized Edition2) What makes this Bible unique is the very helpful "Beginning a Journey" Guide for Catholics in the front of the Bible. The contents are as follows:How to Read the BibleBible FactsBiblical WordsWitnesses of Faith: The Old TestamentWitnesses of Faith: The New TestamentJesus' Parables and MiraclesFinding Our Roots: ChurchFinding Our Roots: BeliefScriptural Roots of the Apostles CreedFinding Our Roots: Worship and PrayerPraying with the BibleSigns and Gestures of FaithFinding Our Roots: Catholic MoralitySources of Catholic MoralityBible Reading PlansTimelines of Catholic Church and World HistoryMapsIntroductions to the Books of the BibleI found these Bible helps to be extremely useful in understanding the Catholic perspective of its roots, how to interpret the Bible, the Roots of the Apostles Creed, explanations on Catholic perspectives of Ethics, and explanations on Catholic worship (e.g. the Sacraments and the Stations of the Cross, Devotions and Prayers, etc.) (By the way, I'm Protestant and not Catholic)3) There is a brief concordance in the back.4) Imprimatur from Rev. Daniel E. Pilarcyzk and from the Canadian Conference of Catholic BishopsThe only thing lacking in this Bible are study notes (as in the New American Bible)The font is about 11 size and the text is in an easy to read two column formatThis Catholic NRSV is a great value and it is bound in an attractive black leather cover. It is one of the least expensive NRSV Catholic Bibles available - yet with good quality binding and print. Highly recommended!

Adorable Catholic Bible
I am so happy that l have this pretty bible. I just started a Catholic bible study and it is so handy to use. It is an awesome gift. It's my birthday present from me, to me. I will say that the pages are a little thin, so l am careful with them, but they are thicker than my old bible. It doesn't have a ribbon marker, but l have some beautiful book markers already.

Excellent Bible
This bible translation is clear and accurate, with a few notes on each page to clarify. The books don't have individual introductions except for a brief paragraph on each book at the front of the bible (which some readers may prefer to be more detailed and at the top of each book if they are new to the bible). The pages aren't cluttered with excessive notes like some other translations, so the reading experience flows better for me. It also has a good quality cover, spine, and paper.
