Thing works great.
Love this tool. Made light work out of pulling up commercial glue down carpet. Don’t know why I waited so long to get one.

Forget the pliers, use this
I initially used a big pair of pliers to remove stubborn carpet and backing. Very hard on the hands and the cheap plastic grips kept slipping off. Got these and it really grabs well-- has a large handle. Makes much easier work when ripping up the carpet and liner. much recommended.

Heavy duty and works great!
I am a resort manager of 2 campgrounds and a hotel. In order to keep cost down during remodel and renovation of course I volunteered to rip out carpet like an awesome manager would! Day 1 I was not feeling the pliers and rushed to Amazon to see what I could use instead to make the job easier. I didn't even know this tool existed but it has been a huge help to enable me to be a huge help to my team! This tool is great made of heavy duty quality and made the job ALOT easier! If you are ripping up carpet this tool is a must and I will also suggest if you have a lot of carpet staples to remove from the subflooring there is a tool for that as well on Amazon!

Saves your hands
I bought this for glue down carpet after using a rotary hammer to try and scrap it up and vice grips to pull it off. Save yourself the time and tears and just buy this if youre doing any type of glue down carpet removal

So much easier
Much easier than hands or pliers.Design clamps down the more you pull. Good quality, just don’t hook one to a lift and drive to pull carpet. Works well when carpet is a manageable size.
