Tastes Horrendous but is highly effective
I've had horrible insomnia my entire life, as young as 5 I recall going 36-48 hours with no sleep. I've been like this my entire life. I decided to buy this product on a whim, expecting it not to work. I purchased it to develop a bedtime routine rather than expecting the active ingredients to play an active role in my sleep. There is no placebo effect here. The moment you start sipping it, this stuff has a palpable effect. It's very similar to consuming very high amounts of CBD. I'm high anxiety and very drug sensitive. Nearly everything worsens that anxiety, including melatonin. Not this. I feel relaxed and slightly euphoric using it, small physical pains from stress (clenching my jaw and back, a sore wrist from using a mouse for hours and hours, etc) melt away. I sleep very deeply, but not too deeply. A common issue with both alcohol and Mary Jane is a disruption of restful REM sleep, resulting in poor sleep quality and exhaustion over time. I'm still actively dreaming using this product, but my dreams are less stressful, sleep is more consistent/deeper, and I wake up feeling more refreshed. Though, I would not use this if you plan on only getting 3-5 hours of sleep in a night. On to the taste: My fiancee doesn't mind it, I despise it. If you've ever had pure aloe juice, not the sweetened stuff. The taste is very similar to that. Overly vegetative, almost like drinking water that steeped dirt like coffee. There is a hint of the spices referenced on the label. I've tried it with oatmilk and sweetened condensed milk. The sweetened condensed milk made it more palatable, but health wise I would recommend the oat milk. Drinking it iced/cold makes it all worse. I've been able to choke it down doing 1-1.5oz of Kin, 4-8 oz oat milk, 2tsp brown sugar, and a sprinkle of cinnamon. I think nutmeg and possibly cloves or allspice would mix well as well. I'm lazy so I just pop it in the microwave. The product has a tendency to sink to the bottom, so be ready to shoot it like a shot or mix constantly.I highly recommend this. It is quite expensive, but it's effectiveness justifies the expenditure in my life.

Not worth it
I bought both Dream Light and High Rhode. Neither came in the neat box I saw in reviews; just a loose bottle in brown cardboard and bubble wrap.Dream Light tastes horrible. I tried it straight at first and almost threw up. If you’re buying this, buy some oat milk to mask the flavor. I tried regular milk, but it seemed to curdle and get chunky when mixed. High Rhode is fine straight up, but Dream Light… holy hell what a disgusting drink. It’s very bitter, tastes like vommit with cinnamon. Somehow, mixing with oat milk saves it. It becomes like a creamy spiced tea. But you HAVE to mix it with something.High Rhode tastes fine on its own, but even nicer mixed with fruit flavors, sparkling water, or even just flat water. I’ve been mixing it with some berry flavor Mio Sport and tap water, and it’s really nice. Fruit is the way to go with this one.As far as claims of the effect it will have, I noticed nothing with Dream Light. Didn’t really help me sleep, nor feel calm while awake. It’s kind of a nice drink with oat milk—again, like a spiced tea—but doesn’t *do* anything. Certainly not worth the price. With High Rhode, I do notice a slight difference, but nothing crazy. An ibuprofen will give you more of a high than Kin will. Still, at least this one does *something.*Overall, not worth the money, and doesn’t really do anything. I’ve had my fun, but would not recommend to anyone looking for a good feeling, nor a good drink; this provides neither.

Welp...that's pretty good.
So, for some background I've recently quit alcoholic beverages and I've been looking for a substitute for social drinking situations. I've been looking something to replicate the "let your hair down", playful and relaxing side effects of booze w/o the actual...yah kno...booze. My taste leans towards tart, bitter or botanical things. I don't like highly sweetened things much, or cocktails that are basically using sugar to hide the booze flavor.A lot of people don't like Kin b/c of the taste. To which I would say...a lot of alcohol isn't the best tasting at first. This tastes a lot like black unsweetened tea that has sat in the sun. Which to me tastes better than most booze. It's also really easy to mix, but you're going to have that left over odd flavor. It's not a bad taste, but I'd say if you don't like botanical flavors or your look looking for something like juice or coke than you're going to either not like this or have to mix it a ton. You can mix it and have it taste pretty good if you like diverse flavors and trying new things. If you're picky about flavors this may not be for you.Now...on to how it made me feel. At first I did like a two tablespoons to a half can of seltzer with a splash of juice. I felt nothing. I went back and did about a 1/4 cup of the Kin to half can of seltzer. About half way through I could feel it. It felt like a nice buzz, and would be great for social drinking. I wasn't dizzy or anything, but it did make me feel a little goofier than normal (placebo or real idk) but I was drinking with a friend and we both enjoyed it...laughed a lot. I would say mess with the ratio to see what works for your body.I would say this is a pretty good product and worth a try. I think it will come down to flavor preference and your bodies response to different drinks.Side note: Not a promotion, just something I've found works for me. If you're looking into something like this I would suggest you also try HOP WTR the 12pk variety pack. It's got no sugar, no side effects and it just makes me feel happy. Also, bonbuz Slow Burn is pretty good and I think the flavor is a little bit easier to blend into your typical cocktail. Kin is good, but I did feel a little off the next day...nothing like a hangover...just not as good as I felt after I drink HOP WTR with is like a flavored seltzer with a lil hop taste. Which is my absolute favorite for now. Happy Sipping!
