Q: My 240v connection has 2 live 120v wires, 1 neutral and 1 ground. What ATS i need and how should I wire it?

If you intend to switch the full 240v (both poles) then you need something like this Yister W2R (other brands available which are essentially identical). The solenoids (electromagnets) that do the mechanical switching from one source to the other require the full 240v across them. So, if you only wish to switch 120v circuits (or half the 240) then you'd need an ATS that runs on 120v. As for wiring, the (bare) ground wire is always connected to all other ground wires and to metal boxes, chassis, etc. The neutral (white) wires connect all to each other, and do not run "through" the switch. Only the two live lines (red, black) of the 240 wiring connect to the ATS (at least the Yister) and are switched. Thus the neutral (white) from the source(s) all connect directly together, while the hots (red/black) get switched. Hope this helps. Oh, and be sure the ATS you choose is capable of carrying the current (AMPS) of your maximum load plus a, say, 25% safety factor. The Yister W2R is rated 100Amps max, so I'd not use it for more than say 80A or so load (in fact probably limiting it to 50A would not even be a bad idea... say something like a hot water heater). Oh, once the 240 is passed through the ATS, and the neutral bypasses it (runs around/outside it), you again have two live, one neutral, and one GND to feed whatever loads you have... including both 240v loads and dual 120v loads... just like your house wiring does.

Feed your I1 and I2 into the lugs, connect the common from all inputs and the single output together. Independently, do the same for the protective (bare) ground wires, and connect this to any metal box, chassis, etc in your mounting scheme (to protect anyone who might touch it from potential shock).
