Wonderful sponge to use. No imitation- its the real thing. I wish they would be a little larger. I clean?/ soak the sponge as recommended in baking soda and water!

These are pretty good sponges, as they should be for the price. It looks to me like these sponges have been trimmed to a more usable shape, removing the irregular parts of the natural sponge from which they are made -- a pretty good idea for usability, but it ends up delivering less sponge for more money. Also, the sponges are described by their largest dimension so a 5" sponge, for example, ends up being only about 2" thick. The description is not in error, but it is incomplete -- leading to a bit of a disappointment when the package is opened.

This sponge (5") is the perfect size for body washing. The texture is very soft, but still effective in washing. So far, the sponge seems to be very durable. I used to buy similar sponges at a different store, but these are a much better price. There was no "sea dirt" in the sponge (even if there was, that doesn't always mean the sponge is bad). I've purchased three additional sponge already (even great sponges don't last forever).

I used natural sponges as a kid, and got frustrated with current un-natural sponges for washing dishes by hand. I couldn't believe how much better this is than what are now called "sponges" that fall apart after a while, and stink. Try one of these, and you'll never want to go back. A drop or two of dish soap lasts for a very long time, until you decide to rinse and squeeze all the soap out. I'll get another for face and body wash, and a bigger one for car wash.

So it works but as you use it little pieces fall off and it makes it break down and fall apart. Okay goodbye if you're only going to use it twice!!!

Very soft but starts fall apart after 1week,1shower a day use . Very small -almost too small to bath with. The 5”is not quite even 4 inches on length, it is 3 7/8 according to a tape line. Width is more like 2 5/8” . Thickness or depth is at best 1.5” . If an item is advertised as 5” , it should be 5” s all around. I don’t recommend. Extremely expensive for what u get .
