They are delicious, but expensive

First, let me begin by telling everyone that I reside in San Diego, CA where it’s been quite hot these past two months, upwards towards 90° F. I read the few unfavorable reviews left by other buyers who complained that their chocolate orders arrived melted and basically inedible. Other reviewers commented that their orders arrived in perfect condition. The question begs, what does Amazon.com do to ensure a perfect delivery of gourmet chocolate Truffles to locations were high temperatures are the daily norm? Well let me tell you – My order of Lindt LINDOR White Chocolate Truffles, 120-Count arrived in a cardboard shipping container that was lined with 1.25” thick special insulation on ALL interior surfaces as well as seven medium-sized insulated ice packs. The ice packs were encased inside a smooth water-proof material that doesn’t allow the ice blocks to sweat nor leak and appear to contain a special gel, (Not water). Amazon.com also deployed heavy packing paper to ensure the ice packs in no way could damage the box that contains the truffles. It’s this clever packing solution that ensured that my 120 Lindt LINDOR White Chocolate Truffles arrives both COLD as well as DRY. I have a child's taste buds and can't stand dark chocolate (and don't even like milk chocolate much) and white chocolate is pretty much the only kind of chocolate that I actually enjoy. Lindt truffles is at the top of that list. They taste great and the delivery was fine (although I only ever order them in the winter months just to be sure that they won't be damaged during delivery).Just one comment on the latest batch that I got: many of the truffles were slightly flattened on one side (so they were not a perfect sphere, rather it looked like they were flattened against the surface slightly), so I think there may have been a slight issue with storage where they melted a tiny bit. But it wasn't anything to complain about and the flavour was fine.
