My son has been struggling with a for-credit HS Japanese course online. Until we bought this book, it was very tedious to translate even simple sentences by phonics using the chapters in his course. The first two pages of this book have been so useful, we would have paid just for them alone. We may buy 2 more as backups.

This book is very small, don't expect a big book.It works, it is basic but colorful. My daughter love it, she is learning japanese this year in school.

I got this through a gift card I won. If this wasn't the case it'd be way to expensive for me. The book itself is great it helped me memorize the hiragana syllabary in a fun way. And I did learn it in one day! But it's very very slim book and the price isn't so slim.

I was amazed at how easy Dr. Moku explains the meaning of each symbol. At first glance, it seems impossible to understand, but after reading through his book, my eyes were opened. Each symbol came alive with meaning. I look forward to purchasing more books from Dr. moku.
