Umbra Cappa Double Curtain Rod, Includes 2 Matching Finials, Brackets & Hardware, 36 to 66-Inch, Gold

I bought this double curtain rod because we had curtains hanging over our large window that shows right into our main living room, but we needed an extra set of curtain to cover up the whole window. I was so excited and thought it would be a simple install. Which it was for the most part. I was excited because the drywall screws and the screws that come with it were both high quality, so I knew they wouldn't strip easily. But when I screwed in the main screws into the drywall screws, they would not screw in all the way. There was about 1/2" of screw that would not go in which meant that the brackets could not hang. I tried with so much force to get them to screw in and they would not budge. I got my husband to try to screw them in and they would not budge. We thought that maybe the drywall screw crumbled if it hit any wood framing and then that would make the main screw not turn, but when we took the drywall screw out, it was completely fine! We aren't sure why this happened but it clearly wasn't working so we ultimately had to take out and not use the drywall screws, but this meant we had giant holes in our wall that we had to spackle and paint over, and then just use the regular screws in a new spot. This was supposed to be a quick install but it ended up taking probably 3 hours. Everything else is nice and as expected, but hopefully this review will save you some time and sweat.

I am pleased with how easy these were to install. My windows is one the shorter end of the rod extension length so no problems with sturdiness. I did hang two sets of sheets though to make sure I didn’t overload the rod. Very happy purchase so far.

I wish the rods were a little stronger. Even with the center bracket they bow a bit. Luckily my curtains are pretty lightweight.

Ordered this along with a shorter version for serveral large windows in my living room. The first one was great but when we opened the 120-180 version it was just 2 sets of the 60-120 rods. We had to go buy an adapter so we didn’t have to hang up two different sets of rods. The color was also different. I ordered the brass and one set looks brass and the other is a brushed gold. Not too happy but I don’t have time to return so we are making due.

I absolutely love the colour of this double rod. The colour is very elegant however the 66 inch+ rod is made of 3 pieces so when the curtains are drawn open it shows. Both rods, the main rod and the smaller back rod are made of 3 pieces. Unfortunately that detail (which I consider it to be a major one) makes it look cheap - a little Frankenstein... Probably going to return it because of that.

I am totally obsessed with Umbra Cappa curtain rods. They are so modern and elegant looking and much nicer than the clunky ones I previously had. I have a set of these in gold, and two in black and I could not love them more. They are perfect for holding both my regular and blackout curtains at once. Exactly what I wanted, and I've even convinced some friends and family to switch out theirs for these! They were easy to install, are sturdy but also not heavy. I did use my own screws, but I highly recommend these!

Es un producto que cumple con su función sin ser muy llamativo, es discreto. Los soportes son bastante resistentes aunque un poco incómodos para instalar, porque el tornillo superior no tiene espacio para poder atornillarlo cómodamente, no se puede usar un desarmado eléctrico y hay que hacerlo manual con paciencia y cuidado para no echar a perder el tornillo. Los táqueles que incluye son para tablaroca, así que hay que considerar unos táqueles adicionales para poder colocarlo en otra superficie.

Very good-looking rod, looks very professional in my home office. Easy to install, but unfortunately, it only came with 2 brackets, so it lacked centre support and sagged a little bit in the middle. Luckily, I noticed that it was indeed supposed to come with a 3rd bracket, so I contacted the merchant's customer service team and they shipped me another bracket free of charge. Now my rod is perfectly supported and looks beautiful. Very happy customer here!!
