Not *quite* sure how they've got away with classing this as 'waterproof' in any way, shape or form - it's fabric with no special coating as far as I can tell, and any spilt liquid seeps straight in. However, the pattern is true to the photo and the quality of the hemming and cut etc is fine. If you're looking for a child-proof table cloth, this one perhaps isn't for you.

I have purchased two tablecloths and two table runners. a total of just over £70. Unfortunately I purchased the second cloth and runner before I washed the first set. Although there is no wash label on the cloth the packaging if you keep it states these items should be hand washed. This seems a bit impractical for a tablecloth in a busy household with three children but I did. The cloth and runner are now rubbed up, bobbly where I have rubbed against a stain and faded to half the colour of the original - such a shame , I have given 2 stars as when it was new it looked gorgeous, but not practical.

If I had travelled to a tiny hilltop village in the Himalayas and paid a skilled artisan to hand-weave a glorious tablecloth evoking the longue durée, the totality of human culture and my place within it, paying them for their services with a suitcase full of gold sovereigns, and this were the end product, I'd be disappointed.However, this is a cheap tablecloth on sale on Amazon, which I wanted to cover an equally cheap little table in my apartment. As such, I have no complaints.

I bought this thinking it was a wipe clean tablecloth and panicked when it arrived but once I put it on my table I loved it. Fabric is beautiful and bright and the creases came out of it really well. I bought a clear plastic table cover so I could keep it clean and easy to wipe the table without worrying about having to wash and dry a tablecloth. Size is generous - love it!

Loved the table cloth when I got it. But after one use when food was dropped on it and attempt to clean it was made - the colour came out after rubbing the food stain. There is a light ungainly patch right in the middle of the table cloth. Did not expect they at all. Very disappointed.

Nice tablecloth;l fits perfectly. Lovely and bright. Only criticism is its a little thinner/sheer than expected, it wouldn't protect a table from hot items, a table liner or mats would still be needed.EDIT - after washing I have changed my review to 1 out of 5 stars - colour faded so much it is almost transparent.

Looks exactly as pictured and very happy with it considering the low price. Have had many compliments and everyone is always surprised when I tell the.It isn't waterproof at all though, so will not guard against spills. However it does appear to be slightly water repellent - I spilled my water and the water didn't seep straight through the fabric; it formed little drops on top which I was able to quickly soak up with some kitchen roll. My table didn't get wet so I think this tablecloth would be fine for small spills that are mopped up quickly.Overall, happy with the quality, price and colour - would buy it again.
