I bought this for a trip that we needed to be 'reef safe'. It applied white but was easy to rub in. It protected us from the sun and did the job well. You have to rub well to get off residual, but it is worth it to keep the ocean and my body, safer from harmful chemicals.

Blue Lizard Sensitive Mineral Sunscreen has become my go-to for long days in the Florida sun. Great sunscreen. I am able to use it on my very sensitive face with no issues. No burning, stinging, breakouts, or perioral dermatitis flare ups! As a bonus I like that it’s reef safe (even though I don’t live near a beach). It does start with a little bit a a white cast but it rubs in well for me.

I would give this a 9.5/10. It is an almost perfect sunscreen. I normally burn SO easily, I have fair skin. I applied this one time during a kayaking day trip, not a cloud in the sky, and was out there for hours. I did not burn where I applied it. The photo is to show where I missed applying it.Right now my partner is lying in bed with nearly 3rd degree burns lookin like a lobster because he didn’t use this sunscreen on the same trip, and I have a beautiful soft tan, no burn right now on the rest of my body.This sunscreen wasn’t greasy at all. It’s all mineral and felt good to apply. No color transfer, no bleeding of color on plastic bags and clothes.I’ve given it -0.5 for 2 reasons, I wouldn’t use it everyday as it did put temporary sunscreen streaks on my polyester dry-wicking shorts the other day (none the kayak day though) and reason 2 is it leaves a white cast on the face only, so I wouldn’t use it on the face. HOWEVER, worth noting I normally have bad acne and this product did not make me break me out at all.

This sunscreen is amazing! We bought it for our trips to Mexico in the spring so i had not seen the sun a lot. It was great because i still got some good color, but i wasn’t burnt. The only downfall, is it is super thick and you need to wash your hands off after applying otherwise it gets everywhere.

After I had surgery to remove a skin cancer from my face, the dermatologist advised using mineral sunscreen. Yes, it does leave a slight white cast, but it works really well, and it doesn't sting my eyes like the chemical ones do. I do a lot of long bike rides in the mountains of Colorado where the sun is very strong and I have not had any problems with sunburn (and I'm definitely tanning less than I used to). Highly recommended.

My fav non-toxic sunscreen. It is quite thick though, but effective. Never get burned with this, and I have fair skin. Protective and smells decently good!

I am so in love with this SPF! I’m happy the reformulation is vegan now. I have very fair skin and this protects it from the sun like no other. It also makes my skin look luminous and honestly perfected! I don’t feel like I need foundation anymore, just a little concealer on healing blemishes. People tell me they like my glass skin and ask what I’m using for it! Answer: this sunscreen! I would say this is not suitable for medium to dark skin tones as it definitely has a white cast. The white cast is not a problem for me as my skin is so fair but would definitely be ghost territory for anyone with skin darker than the first few lightest shades of a foundation range.
