The clear tip does indeed help with accurately highlighting text in books and papers. I personally don't highlight much, but my goodness the wife has. They do not have the largest nor the smallest of cartridges, but that's the only "meets expectations" point on an otherwise superior product. As such, she has them in every color, and I'm pretty sure she has one stashed in every room of the house.

I am terrible at highlighting in straight lines. Suddenly I am the best. Great product, easy to grip. The only awkward part is resting the cap on the end side of the highlighter while in use. Slips off real easy, so I just put the cap on the table. Simple enough.

It works for me..Once I figured out the best way to highlight for me, it was good goin'.

I like the design of these it makes them easy to hold, comfortable to use.

Will NOT purchase again....CHEAPly redesigned...from Good to aweful!Highlighter tip redesigned....GUESS to get more $ or a cheap product.These use to be decent..LOLLLLLLLLWell they got this purchase...will NEVER buy again.

Best sharpies ever. You'll never go back to using a traditional highlighter after using these things.

I don't get the hype you really can't see thru the clear part unless you are looking directly down thru it while on a flat surface. I personally don't lay my books flat on a table to read them.
