Mini Wifi Camera picture video hidden Camera Small Portable Wireless with Night Vision, 30m waterproof design for Outdoor Indoor (wifi connected use)

I was amazed how easy it was to set up. Picture quality very good both inside and outside and even through glass. Just what I need to be able to monitor the birds that are nesting in our nest boxes. You can video either through wi-fi so you can watch what is going on or video then watch it on your laptop. I see it is out of stock, that either says great camera or not good and take it off. Personally I think it is very useful and would recommend it

I bought the camera to use for remote photography of birds on bird feeder. It does does not work for this purpose and seems to only really suit sports use where it is used locally to receiving device. The wi-fi range is minimal and initial connection can only be made with device in immediate proximity to the camera. Battery life is limited and wi-fi / power can not be controlled from connected device.

The media could not be loaded.  Unfortunately the image quality ain't all that good, Due to no image stabilization. Even on low speeds vibrations from the motorbike make the footage unusable.

UPDATED REVIEW:My original review is shown below. After several weeks of using this item, primarily on long walks in the forest and dog walking, the App stopped working. The camera still records / takes photos, but I can't bring up the files on my smartphone to review the images. I have to wait until I go home to access my PC to read the SD card in windows. The WiFi still transmits and I'm able to connect to it via my Smartphone, but as soon as you press the start button on the App screen, the App stops working with the message, "DV camera has stopped working", even though WiFi on the camera is still indicating as connected and still recording. I uninstalled the App and then re-installed it via the App Store, but the same problem persists, even after an App update.Unfortunately, this is the same problem that many, many people have also reported and no fix has been provided, even though the App seemingly updates regularly on Google Play App Store. I've reduced my review to a 2 star rating, but the original reason for buying it, ie. to view the camera on my smartphone in real time, is now defunct. With so many people having the same problem, and the total lack of a fix offered by the seller, I can only advise that you look at the much cheaper SQ10, 11 or 12 rather than this item because without the ability of the App to work, you basically have an SQ10, 11 or 12 anyway. I've subsequently bought a full HD body cam ( BOBLOV 1296P Portable Body Mounted Camera ) that I've been using for a few weeks, and have nothing but high praise for it. My opinion is that this DV camera was a total waste of money, with a very low image resolution and an App that refuses to work with no help at all from the seller. Don't waste your money, get one of the better options if you must have a mini DV camera ( The ones mentioned above are good enough and much cheaper ), or buy a proper body cam as mentioned. I've now field tested a 10 kilo hammer on this item and consigned it to the rubbish tip.ORIGINAL REVIEW:First of all, it does exactly what the description says. However, there are a few negative points.The first point is that, no matter what I do, including taking out the TF card, I could not get it into web cam mode. After many attempts which included looking for updated drivers and firmware I could not get windows to even recognise it as a web cam. I tried several web camera software packages, including Microsoft Camera, and none would recognise the device as a web cam. Even went as far as using Microsoft's online chat help. They were great, but could not resolve the issue, so I gave up on the web cam bit.Second point is the Night Vision mode. The 6 infra red LEDs are not particularly useful above about 6 feet. While the Night Vision was OK up to 6 feet ( although a very small field of view ) I found that beyond that distance there was no clear Night Vision image either in my room or outside in the garden in full darkness. I have an 850nm infra red torch and relied on this instead of the camera's LEDs and this worked much better. I was getting clear images at 75 feet, with visual degradation out to about 120 feet from a single CREE Infra Red LED torch. If you are going to use this device for home security in Night Vision mode, I suggest you look into an alternate source of IR Illumination if the camera is to cover an area which is greater than 6 feet from the camera lens.I did 23 videos, each of approximately 5 mins in length, and observed the following. Clipping the camera to my backpack shoulder straps ( with the provided attachment ), gave a good enough video resolution with a maximum 20 FPS. If walking at a brisk pace, FPS dropped down to between 8 and 16 FPS. Going down stairs reduced the video quality and was a very shaky experience for the camera. Straight, flat ground at a normal walking pace was best. Clipping the camera to my bicycle helmet gave very similar results. Again, straight, flat ground gave the best performance, with a significant drop in quality when going along a mountain bike trail at a brisk speed. As a DashCam, I turned on WiFi, clipped the camera to my dashcam mount and used my phone via the WIFi connection to view the camera in a live DashCam mode. No problems other than the low resolution of the camera, but going over speed bumps at 5 mph took a few seconds for the camera to settle down again for reasonable image quality.Single shot camera works just fine, but it takes a bit of practice to hold down the single shot button without moving the camera. Found that using a tripod or other support worked well.WiFi Hotspot works and I had no issues connecting to my smartphone WiFi, but found that, above 12 feet away from the camera, the WiFi would drop and lose signal.The Smartphone app is fine and available on the Microsoft and Google app stores. I used the QCode scanner to download and install.Be very careful when using underwater with the provided, so called, waterproof box. I put a weight, a marble, inside the box instead of the camera and tested the waterproof box in 3 feet of water for 6 minutes. More leaks than a Welsh Harvest Festival and the box was recovered full of water. I may have received a defective box, but do your own tests before taking a chance on using the camera underwater in the provided box.Battery life was between 40 minutes and 1hour 15 minutes depending on whether WiFi was on and / or IR Illumination. Much better results using an external power bank but remember the SD card will overwrite the oldest segment as the SD card gets full. Segments were saved in 5 minute blocks, which can be reduced to 1, 2 or 3 minute blocks via the App.As a basic DV cam during daylight, it does the job. However a much much better alternative is the SQ13 which is also a WiFi Hotspot DV camera, with the same functions as this one, but significantly better in all respects including price. I'll continue to use this one for travelling to / from work and for general hiking, and use my SQ13 for more serious ventures.

Nice little camera best when plugged in for continuous record

Camera not tested yet only works if SD card is installed. Will not run or pair to phone without. Keep this in mind before purchasing.

The battery life is 1h30m maximum and I bough it to see garden wildlife at night, so I’ll have to send it back.

I bought this as a gift for my mums birthday and it was completely unfit for purpose. Very poor quality and didn’t switch on or work at all I returned this item and got a full refund
