Ordered these just after the last time I baked. Have not used them until much later - too late to return them. But now I just used one for a pie and it pretty much sucked. It was floppy and therefore difficult to set onto the pie gently without buggering up the tender edge of the crust. The ends are loose and they do not fasten together well, so it comes apart while trying to handle the dam thing. And it did not prevent the edge of the crust from getting over browned. Suspected all of this after I got them but kept them because I thought they would be easier to store. They're not. Wish I had bought the metal ones.

These are nice. They're adjustable and do the job..I hate wrapping foil around crust. Place one of these on your crust and you don't have to worry about it falling off like foil wrap will.

Fit perfectly. Stayed in place. Been using folded foil for years --- which was always fussy, messy and often fell off in the oven exposing parts of my crust to over-browning. This product was easy to place on pie and my crust edges browned perfectly.

I was tired of trying to use foil to protect my pie crusts when making quiche. This shield takes away the frustration.

These are so easy to use and make such a difference for pies and quiches. So much easier than using foil. To clean I just spray them in the sink with some vinegar and dawn, let sit and rinse, then strain overnight. The next day, I put them back in the little bag they came in to keep them clean and ready for next use.

These are garbage. The when used as a whole, it's more of an oval shape than round. They cannot be used with pot pies. I had to cut the individual pieces down to size and reshape them to get them to fit.

While using these in my gas oven they gave off a smell while baking I ended up taking them off of the pie. They are adjustable to fit your pies no cutting required. I gave 3 stars because of the smell they gave off.

I am happy to have these pie shields. They work really well and are easy to use. I'm someone who has tried without success to use aluminum foil to keep pie crusts from burning. I never found a way to keep foil snug around the dish. These shields do the job.
