Edit: after owning this chair for a bit, it’s still holding up, including the casters, and I’m pretty tough on things. The chair did start to squeak unbearably while on work calls, but some wd40 in the mechanical Bits solved that quick. I still recommend this tank of a chair.My original review: Heavy, sturdy chair keeps you up right and alert for work. Easy to assemble but heavy enough for some people to need a buddy to help out. The casters are the cheapest element of this product but not a deal breaker of installed with deliberate focus on how the hammer hit is traveling through the caster into the main shaft of the caster when installing into the base. I was very careful on how I installed the casters and had no issues.

​The chair assembled fairly easily, and initially looked nice.However, after a few short months of normal use, the metal plate that connects the swivel base to the chair base sheared off and broke leaving the chair in two pieces and unable to be repaired.Considering the price that was paid for this item, I am very, very disappointed.

Chair is not what I expected. Seat is hard. Wheels are cheap and do not roll well on carpet. Wish I listened to my wife and bought the upgraded one. (Don't tell her I said so).

Friends:One plastic caster broke as I assembled the chair as I drove it into place with a rubber mallet per the instructions.The manufacturer offered to replace the entire chair but I found the casters are for sale on amazon so I just purchased two replacements.There is a small block of wood with the casters. This block has to be positioned in the correct place on the caster to install the caster with a rubber mallet. The plastic casters are strong but can not take a direct blow from a rubber mallet.Thinking Allowed....Arthur Gerard Michael Baron von Boennighausen

The red color is very pretty, not flag red nor burgundy. The style goes perfectly with my Mission style desk. I'm not super handy but the assembly directions were clear, although I didn't pay close enough attention and put a short screw in a spot requiring a long screw and had to get help to remove it since I tightened it too firmly. Once that was resolved I was very pleased with the finished product. The seat cushion and back are fairly firm. This isn't a cushy chair you'd sink into, nor an ergonomic chair designed with lumbar support. I probably wouldn't be as happy if I sat in it for long periods of time. But for my purposes it is comfortable enough and very attractively complements my other furniture.

I rarely write a review, and then its usually because I either dislike the product or had some sort of problem. But in the case of this chair I am quite satisfied. Looks great and is comfortable. I'm not a "do it yourself" kind of guy, so putting it together I thought was going to be a real challenge. However, it was easier than expected (appreciated good directions) although I too had a problem putting on the casters.

Just recently received this chair. Looks nice, well packed. However, while assembling the chair I found that the threaded metal receptacle that the accepts the bolt to attach the arm rest to the back of the chair is missing. No way to tighten the bolt - so the arm rest cannot be attached.Amazon (& or Seller) what do I do now?UPDATED REVIEW (01/08/21)Emailed sent to Seller about missing part.
