Excellent value for money. Worth it just for the full powered USB ports.
I originally purchased my Microsoft Surface Go tablet from Amazon’s Refurbished Deals for around £100 and I am extremely pleased with the unit. I also purchased the correct Microsoft magnetic keyboard cover from Ebay for a good price - I decided that I really didn’t need the Microsoft Pen but fancied the Surface Dock Station. The unit arrived in basic packaging and has no issues - either cosmetically or in its function. Again, like the Surface tablet, I purchased this using Amazon’s excellent Refurbished Deals for an excellent price - which in my opinion is worth it just for the additional power supply - the additional ports and connectivity options are simply a bonus. The unit is smaller than as it appears on the web (which isn’t really a bad thing) and all the USB ports appear to work fine and offer full power output for charging additional devices. I was somewhat disappointed to discover that the video output ports require a Mini Display Port plug which is something I don’t currently have but that’s my own fault for not paying more attention to the product page. Not a problem and something that I will purchase when funds allow (along with a multi-port HDMI Switch as I have too many things now connected to my display. When you connect the Surface Dock to the tablet, all the available ports are recognised by Windows. I haven’t experienced any problems so far connecting various USB peripherals to the unit - everything appears to behave as it should. In conclusion I highly recommend the Official Surface Dock Station. It offers truly excellent value for money and as an added bonus, offers four fully functional USB charger sockets for all your various battery-powered devices when not in use. I have yet to try out the video output but don’t anticipate any problems with this. Very highly recommended. An easy five stars.

Thunderbolt 4 NOT HDMI
Very good item in good condition, but buyers should note that where the listing says it has two HDMI sockets in fact they are two Thunderbolt 4 sockets for video, so may require different cables or adaptors as well for you.

It works and its very cheap.
A real, genuine bargain. Although a re-furb, the item only had a couple of chips on the edges otherwise clean. Cost me £6 for a mini-display to displayport connecter. Plugged in an MS Surface Go connected straight away. Also charged phone (a bit slow). So <£20 for >£150 worth of functionality. PS. Reading other reviews there may be an element of luck in the items condition that you receive but for the money its still a bargain.

Very useful but with a very big flaw.
The two units give a lot of added versatility, loads of useful ports. There is one major flaw in the design. By connecting the peripherals all the time the battery is being charges all of the time. This is going to degrade the battery quickly if you have to use the system for long periods, as I do. The inability to turn off the charging is going to cost in the long term, either in poor battery life or repair costs.
