Not only does this book walk you through the stages of how to start a podcast, one of my favorite parts is that Ms. Mayo includes a little mini-review guide of equipment. After all, you've got to know what you'll need to get started on the right foot.You know how you read a book and it tells you all about how the author was successful at one thing or another, but gives you no direction on how to do it yourself? This isn't that book. Each chapter and subheading are the perfect bite-sized pieces anyone can use from the grassroots mono-cast to the professionally produced conversational or educational style.Whether you're just getting started in the world of podcasting or have been around a little while, this is a solid book to get started or to check in for a refresher. And like a podcast, it's 70+ pages are easy to read and can be read cover-to-cover or as needed, perfect for any attention span.

I went into this book with a lot of questions.Ms. Mayo walked me through the entire process. Things I had not even considered. Equipment being one. Also content. The book is full of useful information and I appreciated the way she broke everything down.Being a Book Reviewer I wasn't quite sure how to review this so I will just say that if you are thinking of beginning a podcast, this is the book for you!Very Well Done!

Personally, I have no interest in podcasting. However, as an ex-professor I can appreciate a comprehensive text aimed at helping people to pursue an interest. Despite a few minor typos, this work proves to be all a podcasting hopeful needs to know. Perhaps it is due to my lack of interest in this pursuit that I rated it at four stars instead of five. Aspiring podcasters should find all the information needed to get to work.

I am positive that every thinking human being has thought about making a podcast and I am no exception. I read this book to get a clear understanding of how to successful set up a podcast. This book is written as a straight and to the point guidelines. Nothing is left out. Everything from buying the equipment, hosting platforms and using producers or self-production software is explained clearly.It is brief so no need to highlight. Every sentence is relevant. People who do not want to read extra fluff will like her directness. The advice is very current for what it means to podcast now.

This book is a wonderful, pragmatic book for someone who wants to launch a podcast. A must read for novices who need a step by step guide. Well done!

This book had a lot of great information for the beginning podcaster, and a lot of it is common sense that you'll need. The chapters are well-defined and if you follow along and take notes of highlight, you should have no trouble creating a winning podcast. I've been podcasting for over six years, and I found some cool ideas in this, too, which I will use.

It's an okay summary of the topic, probably geared towards those who are totally new to the game. It doesn't cover podcasting with video. Nice read, but I didn't learn anything new.
