Useful switch that doesn't take up much space
The switch works well, and is nice and compact. It's low-profile design makes it useful in tight spaces.

This works so well for my Xbox Series X
The price of the product is worth it, it's very well made, the on and off switch is easy to work with. I have it hooked up to my Xbox series X into the wall. Works as expected.

Quite good as these devices go
Quite good as these devices go. A little pricey (here at least) and doesn't have an "On" indicator light. But other than that, quite serviceable.A few things I like about it:* When placed in a wall socket, the switch is up for on, down for off; like a wall switch. This makes it possible to tell if it's on or off from across the room. I prefer an indicator lamp for this job, one that stands out when you turn off the room lights as you leave the room to remind you you forgot something, but this is a pretty good second best.* In addition to the easy-to-remember switch position indication, on and off are indicated by molded-in on/off text by the switch and the switch rocker itself has a tactile bump on the on side. So if you're up close, it's easy to tell what you're doing and you could even turn it on or off in the dark I suppose :) (or perhaps behind something that blocks line of sight)* It has "finger grip" curves molded into the top and bottom of the case, allowing you to hold it securely in the wall socket when removing a plug. This is handy if you're using it for different items from time to time, as I do, on what's basically a test bench.* The build quality is high. The plastic is tough and the switch operation is decisive and sure. I don't think you could get the switch to stick in the middle if you tried. The switch actuation pressure is a good balance between so easy you could disturb it by brushing up against it and so hard you have to put your shoulder into it to generate the force to turn it on or off. Deliberate finger pressure does the job just fine.* The socket holds the plug blades firmly. So I'm confident it will hold up and not accidentally burn the house down.* I find the GE brand comforting. I know it's actually made in China, so call me a fool if you want, but the fact GE stakes its brand on the quality makes me think they're keeping an eye on what's coming out of the factory and that it's probably pretty darn reliable.* I don't need a lot of these, I only need the one. So paying a bit more for one I can count on indefinitely seems a good value to me.

Great product and saves electricity too!
I bought these, and I say these because I have more than one, to shut the display off my coffee grinder after I use it. I mainly bought them because the switch on my lamp is hard to reach as it is on The wire and it's one of those that you have to roll to turn on the light and it is not very convenient. I have two lamps like that so I have this switch on each one which is plugged into my power strip and also my bathroom wall so that easy to access. If you had to plug it low on the wall behind furniture then you this is not for you unless you just want to leave it on 24/7. It is so easy to turn on my light now where I just flip the switch. the display on my coffee grinder light will last a lot longer so I can not only save the light but also electricity will be less as it is not constantly running.I'm sure you also could use it for a Christmas tree or Christmas lights. I think there are multi reasons that this is a very handy item to have in the house. I think it also could be good for handicapped or elderly to make it easier to turn on a light and again what only if this outlet is easily accessible as I have described. I did find a similar item although it was not GE in home Depot for a little less money. I bought one of those because I didn't want to wait for delivery but I do like that it is a name product such as GE which has a good reputation as far as I know. Try it you'll like it!

Great for surging electric costs!!!
Our electricity costs in Maine have about doubled in the last year... so I have been taking measures to lower our monthly bill. Our bill spiked from $100 last August (when air conditioners were running) to $195 (!!!) in April when the gas heat was sporadically running.I have a lot of small kitchen appliances (microwave, coffee maker, coffee grinder, blender, toaster) and I now have them plugged into these switches. I don't need the clocks on the small appliances so I don't want to power them. I just hit a switch when I need to use one of the appliances.I also installed these switches on either side of the bed for phone chargers and the air purifiers... as well as in the bathroom for the hair dryer and air freshener, in the living room for the stereo and lamp, and in the dining room where our laptop chargers are.(I have done some other things too like hanging shirts and pants to dry and using Panda spin dryer to pull excess water out of everything else before it goes into the regular dryer. I also bought a freezer thermometer and was able to determine I was running my freezer and fridge harder than I needed - by about 10 degrees!)My electric bill for May (one month later) was $120... from $195 in April... $75 less!!! They have already paid for themselves in just one month!

Four way comparison of grounded switches (lighted and non-lighted)
Pros: Good construction, name brand.Cons: Non-standard screw (triangle drive).Comparison: Compared this to three other switches. The Belkin has a low intensity green light, can be used with a night light and non-distracting. The non-lighted variants will have less internal wiring, so that would be the benefit. Conclusion: For a lighted and grounded switch, I would recommend the Belkin. For a non-lighted grounded switch, I would go with the Leviton. The GE would work as well. Cannot recommend the Uninex due to quality issues. Convenient and nice size.
Love this switch. Wish I had known there was such a device a long time ago. We had a kettle that does not have a switch which meant we had to plug and unplug all the time. This switch make things so much easier. Device is small and easy to use. For the price, really worth it, especially when it came in a four pack.
