Fits exactly
This is an exact fit for my Delta faucet. The only reason I changed it was that the original had started to corrode around the opening for the set screw. Replacement was quick and easy.

It fits and works
The handle on my Delta faucet kept getting loose and I finally managed to strip the setscrew's threads in repeated tightenings, requiring replacement. Neither my local Lowes nor Noland had it so I came to Amazon where I found this one and purchased it rather blind, not certain it would fit, but its appearance was quite similar It's bigger and heavier than the original handle, but fits and works perfectly. I think it's more substantial than the original handle that came with the faucet.

Model RP28898 provides part number 27553 handle
Unfortunately Delta Faucet Support does not provide cross references between a handle model number and the corresponding handle part number which is located in the handle's interior. However the following is what I've observed: model RP17443 provides a 52582 short handle, model RP21469 provides a 31510 medium length handle and model RP28898 provides a 27553 long handle.

Exactly what I needed.
After a little research on this site, I made a bet that this was the size I needed, and it worked out. I tried to find this and another piece on the delta website, but I found it impossible to locate the info on the delta site.

This item is well made and the same size (long handle ~5") as the one with stripped screw thread. Took less than a couple of minutes to install.

Very nice part OEP: RP28898
Thank you! Having a plumbing plan, the plumber came to fix the leaking faucet, actually broke my handle. As usual, when they leave, I am worse off then I started. A morning looking for the part number and matching that at amazon.ca, the part came very fast, and very nice part quality. Put it back on in a second, new again. This part saves the day with my useless plumber. I used it on my kitchen faucet, perfect match! More to the story and yet this will do as a good review...

Correct size for kitchen faucet
This is the correct size for replacing the handle for my kitchen faucet; its a little longer than the ones for bathroom faucets.
