Love the product
Salon-Quality Results at Home! 💅🏼The IBD Building Gel is a total game-changer for anyone who loves doing their own nails or wants to achieve strong, professional-quality nail extensions without going to the salon. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now, and I’m honestly impressed by how easy it is to work with and how beautiful the results are!The consistency is smooth, self-leveling, and easy to control, making it perfect for beginners and pros alike. It doesn’t run or flood the cuticle, and it cures perfectly under a UV or LED lamp. The Cover Pink shade is gorgeous — natural-looking, soft, and flattering for all skin tones. It’s ideal for creating a clean nude base, baby boomers, or French-style manicures.

UPDATE: Sept 7, 2024
UPDATE:This product is amazing. I definitely was not using it correctly. I had it for a while without using and I started using it a few months ago and I am not going back. The step that made a difference for me was putting on a base coat before going in with the builder gel. I prep and dehydrate my nails, then I go in with Young Nails Protein Bond. I put a layer of gel polish base coat and cure. After that, you can either paint the builder gel on and cure each layer until you get your desired thickness, or you can paint a slip layer of the builder gel that you don't cure and then go in with another blob and work it side to side down the nail. However, the latter can be a bit tricky because the product is runny and can run to the cuticles and make a mess. Once through, remove the tacky layer with alcohol and file and shape.I have had no issues since learning how to use the product correctly. The product does not lift. I have done my nails and gone 6 weeks without refilling and have had no lifting or breakage. My natural nails have grown so much that I have to keep cutting them down. I don't like the brush but the product is excellent. I would recommend it especially for those who want to grow their natural nails because it will not keep lifting if used correctly.OLD REVIEW:I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or whether this product is just trash. I am a trained and experienced beauty therapist. I have tried using this to do a gel overlay twice. The first time, I used it with dehydrator and young nails protein bond. The builder gel shrank significantly, even on the second layer. It shrank away from free-edge, sidewalls and cuticle so I had to soak it off. I tried again but only by only dehydrating, since some primers/bonders can cause this. This was at night and by the time I woke up in the morning, all the nails were peeling off from the free-edge. IBD is supposed to be a reputable brand. I am super disappointed. I am so afraid to use it on clients now.

It’s ok lots of lifting with proper application
I liked this product am I in love ? No the “pink” looks very pale and takes multiple layers to get “pink” also it just lifts a lot got this to protect my nails but with it lifting it just doesn’t do that I can’t even shower without the lift tugging out hair. And yes I capped off the tips multiple times and cured it it just chips off I even changed my nail shape bc I thought it would help prevent lifting but no if you’re in ur nail growth journey like I am if ur nails grow fast like mine but break fast too I’d buy their hard gel in a pot not this very fun to use though and easy and it definitely self levels :)

Love this builder gel
I’ve gotten a few different builder gels and this one if my favorite! If you’re used to getting builder gel at the salon, this one is a medium consistency. Not as thick as the stuff at the salon but not as liquid as some others in a bottle that I’ve tried. This one makes it more user friendly in my opinion and less room for error. Prep is definitely key to make these last also less is more! I’m going on 4 (almost 5 weeks) from my last nail appointment and currently on maternity leave. Decided to try and fill my nails myself and if these last, I don’t know if I’ll ever go back to the nail salon! This photo is the product filled over my salon builder gel (before polish). This light pink is beautiful! A little more shear than the builder gel I got at the salon but that doesn’t matter since I’ll be polishing over it. This is 3 coats and buffed. I like that you don’t need a nail drill to smooth these out. I just used a nail file. I’ll update in a few weeks to see how they hold up. Overall super pleased!

Good but…
I love ibd products. I bought the shear pink color to use on my clients, in hope as a natural base and save a step for French tips… the color is everything… BUT, it has so many bubbles in the product. I have tried so many ways on removing the bubbles or mixing up the product more but so many bubbles. Makes filing and buffing hard because the air bubbles leave a hole in the applied product that’s difficult to repair. I buff with ease

Love it
I love this product! Sheer pink is so pretty by itself or under polish to help the color pop. This builder gel in a bottle is also easy to use if you have a gap between gel tips and natural nails by cuticles. This can be because of bad nail sizing or plainly messing up last minute when attaching the nail tip and it got cured before you can fix it. Just apply a gloop where natural nails and gel tip meet near cuticle and thin out product to remaining of the nail. Once cured, file to smooth out nail, viola!

LOVE IT
So far so good! I had been using the beetles builder gel but I tried this one today and im absolutely obsessed. Will be purchasing this one from now on. It is a little thicker than the beetles but I much prefer that because it is easier to build and get a better apex. I would so far definitely recommend!
