goos product
The shirataki noodles are just okay. While they’re low-calorie and great for specific diets, the texture is rubbery, and the flavor is bland without heavy seasoning or sauce. Decent in a pinch.

The most versatile plant-based noodle
I love, love, love these konjac noodles. They take on the flavor of whatever you toss them in, making them really versatile; seen here with chicken broth, spinach, chicken and chili crisp. Simple and clean; helps satisfy that pasta craving. Consistency matches "normal" fettuccini and spaghetti noodles. Packets are perfect serving size; always gives a good rinse - I don't imagine they taste great on their own ;)

Risk of gastric distress
I really like these when I first got them. Yeah, there was the expected fishy smell, but a good rinse in the strainer fixed that.I typically microwave them or boil them, then I add some oil or butter and a little flavoring of some type. Good stuff. The consistency is a little rubbery, but not overwhelming so. The spaghetti form and rice form are less rubbery, while the flat form is a little more rubbery, especially the clear flat form.Unfortunately, there's a dark side to shiritaki / konjac. If you eat a couple small packs of the noodles at once, you risk severe abdominal distress. The first time, I was in pain but couldn't swear that the noodles were at fault. The second time, I was certain of it.Both times, the distress occurred about 18 hours after eating the noodles and the pain was debilitating. All I could do was deal with the pain. The second time, I nearly went to the hospital. I was minutes away from going, but thankfully fell asleep while laying on my side on the floor (the only position that was bearable at the time). The pain felt like my stomach would split open. Picture the scene from Alien. Finally, after nearly 12 hours of misery, the pain abated enough to let me move around. Three days later, I still have mild pain, but it's gradually going away.Apparently this scenario occasionally occurs with others. I just searched for konjac stomach pain and there it was.I no longer recommend any shiritaki / konjac products. All of mine went in the trash. I hope this helps someone else avoid the same thing I went through.

Trick to Using Them
These are exactly what they are... "Nothing Noodles". They're easily used, and literally have NOTHING in them. You can use them as a filler and take on whatever flavor you cook them with. They do stink like old tuna fish when first opened and I found are a bit hard to chew - both issues being solvable, but is the reason I gave them a "four" star rating. As for the smell:You can place them in a screen colander and rinse them with clear water. As for the chewing:I put them in a food chopper and make them like rice, or if in a hurry, I cut them with scissors. What I do:Rinse the noodles in cool water, place them in a chopper and rinse them through the colander again. Place them in a pan on medium heat to dry the water out of them. They don't burn so you can keep them hot while you prepare your other food. Put the noodles into whatever dish you are cooking at the very end and mix them around. They make a GREAT food stretcher and the smell is easily rinsed away.I like them enough to be on the re-order plan and if you are on a diet and like noodles; these are for you. Also, these noodles are portioned for those of us on the "large economy-sized" side.

YUM YUM YUMMY 🤤
These are hands-down the best Shiratake( konjac) w/ oat fiber spaghetti noodles I've ever tried and I've tried almost everything on the market! If you cook these in the crockpot overnight the texture/ taste is almost exactly like wheat spaghetti noodles! ...but only if you cook them in a crockpot! That's basically the secret I found in cooking all konjac and konjac w/ oat fiber noodles/rice ( and I tried literally everything from the directions they give to baking in a casserole to microwave , etc ) ...if you cook it in the crockpot for at least 24 hours the texture comes out almost exactly like real rice or noodles if it has oat fiber in them , and if not the texture of str8 up konjac - the longer u let it cook in crockpot the less rubber the texture and more like real noodles it gets as well and the difference becomes literally negligible if cooked long enough .So, Your welcome 😉The sauce sticks to the noodles well also when done this way . I just made spaghetti and turkey meatballs with thus and it was YUM YUM YUMMY.If you make your sauce base out of keto friendly chicken stock ( water is fine the noodles just more flavor soaked in w/ chicken stock which makes the taste alter a bit to mimic traditional noodles for some reason) and put all your spices and oil or butter or whatever in the sauce while you're cooking the noodles in the crockpot everything comes out better that way, because everything seeps in .I know some of you may be scratching your head because especially str8 up konjac is VERY resistant to anything seeping in and you find your sauce and what not are the bottom of your bowl or dish and it's disappointing. But it's not impossible if you cook it in a crock pot .Again... Your Welcome 🙃 😜 Lol.Hope this helps ✌🏻 🖖🏻

Spaghetti without the carbs👍🏾
They have the taste and also the texture of spaghetti without the carbs. The only downside IMO is that the servings are too small.

Step up from the orginal!
These noodles are a step up from the original konjac noodles. Firmer with oat flour which gives a nice texture without adding carbs. Are they like wheat noodles, NO! But for Asian dishes this noodle hits the mark! Will buy again!
