Great For the Price, Easy to Install
This item is a God-send. We live in the Sonoran desert, where temperatures are sizzling hot through the summer months. The sun was glaring in our half moon window and heating up our dining room/living room to the point that it was extremely uncomfortable. When I checked into this type of shade at Lowe's and Home Depot, the least expensive was $150. Far more than we were willing to pay for a rental home. I found this item on Amazon, easily cut it to fit and it works like a charm. The heat was immediately reduced in those rooms, and though our view is blocked for these super hot months, it is worth it to have a cooler home, and no glare shining through. Looks great too!

This shade is perfect for my needs and looks great out of the box.
This shade is well made with substantial paper weight and strength. In appearance it's a nice shade of white with a good finish. The quality of the light and brightness that the shade allows is quite pleasing. It comes with detailed installation instructions and suggestions on how to add your own touches by coloring or adding choices of fabric linings. I'm very happy with this product. The reviews here on Amazon are positive but some are concerned about the attached ruler instructions for measuring. When measuring the shade for fitting to your window you need to account for the arc in the middle of the plastic base provided. You will want your measurement to be from the perimeter of the arc which allows the shade to "fan" out evenly. If you measure from the midpoint of the base of the window the shade will be too large. The included ruler allows for that difference. I would suggest taking time to confirm the measurements yourself before cutting.

Who says it has to be temporary?
I came across these shades while pricing out permanent arch window shades. Given the price I tried them out instead and am very impressed with them. Installation is much easier than you may think although you do need to measure and cut carefully. But once it's up, and secured with durable, transparent tape, you will be amazed how good them look. Yes it's paper, but from a short distance they don't look like paper. They look like stylish, permanent window shades. I bought two for both arches in my house and from the outside there is nothing cheap or temporary looking about these. They don't block the sun, they diffuse it, creating a nice evenly dimmed light. These are a great alternative to expensive wooden window shades.

It's like sunblock for your "arched" window
I have a large window in my bedroom (see pictures) and every morning the sun slowly makes its way, beaming unbarable light across my bed right over my face ... It was like the alarm clock I never wantedAs much as I liked the tan I was getting, I started me research and found that every arch shade I looked at was CRAZY money ...Found this here on Amazon and was a little skeptical, I had read a review that explained how the shade stayed attached to the window by double sided tape at the bottom of each side of the shade and how they had decided to get a small price of molding so they could remove the shade ... Thought that was a great idea, went to Home Depot and got a small piece of rectangular molding (1/4"x3/4" was the smallest I could find that was just plain rectangle and no fancy designs). I got the shade and measured the window out with a tape measure and cut the shade as directed, I had to go back a trim a couple times to get it to fit correctly but it worked, I cut the molding into 2 pieces at the length of each side and walla I had a removable shade. Now the real test ... Was I still going to get a sunburn every morning ... It worked great, it's no blackout shade (but I was thinking about buying another one and painting it black to see if that would work) but it blocks the direct light.

Cheap and works, but not so great
This product is very easy to install; however, it does have some issues. The package is easy to open and the product is easy to cut, but my measuring tape and the grid on this shade did not match. I used the length in my tape to cut the shade (I measured a 29" window and ended up cutting the shade at 30.25"). It took 1-3 minutes to cut through all the layers with a utility knife. It was pretty easy. After I peeled some of the adhesive backing off, I placed the shade in the plastic support. I then placed the shade in the window and removed the rest of the adhesive. No problems...until the shade fell. The adhesive stayed on the bottom, but the top flopped down. This happened within 5 minutes. I got some nails and placed 5 in the window frame. So far it is being held up.This is a cheap solution to filter light from an arch window. It is made of paper so it will not last forever. Installation is easy and it can be cut to size. It does need support. If you have some thin nails (like the ones used for putting the cardboard backing on store bought shelves) use them! I added a few to the bottom of the shade so I have supports along the sides of the "fan" and so it will stay in place.

Nice looking paper arch window covering, cuts easily to fit
We have a semicircular window facing east which gets strong morning sunlight in the summer time. We were worried about this intense sunlight fading our living room furniture, so we wanted something to cover this window but not completely darken the room. During other parts of the year, there are some trees that block the morning sun, so we also wanted to be able to remove the covering to help warm the room in the morning. Someone suggested Redi Shade. We found it at a great price here at Amazon and, with Prime, got it delivered in 2 days. The instructions are really simple - cut to fit, put in place, and spread out. It includes a little plastic stand which holds the fan. You can adhere the fan to the window for a more complete and permanent solution, but we didn't want that. It provides an elegant window covering that doesn't completely block out all sun's light and can be removed or reinstalled whenever we want.

Looks great, and easy to install!
Great value for the price. Easy to read and understand instructions for cutting/installation. My window isn't a perfect half circle, so some slight modification was required, but it's all explained in the directions. This product keeps the right amount of light out on those early sunny mornings, and it looks great and as well!

Use for temporary house or permanent home, it will look good!
Works well, filters the sunlight, provides privacy. Easy to install, might be floppy so be careful not to be heavy handed.tip - Cut exactly as per the directions. Do not second guess and cut less. We did that and had to recut a few more inches to get it to fit.

Cutting/trimming is very tedious
The product works well. It wasn't too hard to install. Just gotta make sure to measure twice, cut once. Trimming the piece takes a long time if you don't have a very sharp knife, but very doable. Overall, pretty pleased with this product
