Cuts well, very sharp!
We eat a lot of salmon and it's so difficult to get that awful gray skin off! This knife helps a lot. Very sharp and an accurate cut. Glad I got it! Great packaging too !

Great fillet knife for the money.
I am a fishing guide and fillet lots of fish. I bought one of these knives last June and have cleaned about a thousand fish with it so far. It works great, holds a good edge, touches up easily and quickly on a steel and re-sharpens quickly and easily when needed. The handle is very comfortable and non-slip. This is a really nice fillet knife especially for the price. And I like the blade protector. It lets the blade dry and does not hold water like a plastic or cordura sheath. I like them enough I just bought 3 more of these knives.

My initial trial
Really impressed with how efficiently I was able to filet my latest catch of channel catfish. Knife feels well balanced in hand and is super sharp. Comes with a nice protective sheath which it should be kept in when not in use. The 9 inch size proved perfect for the job. Versatile blade did well on both small nd large fish.

Solid bait knife
This knife is being used strictly for salt water fishing. The handle is comfortable and makes it easy to get a secure grip even when your hands are covered with... well, the kind of stuff your hands get covered with when fishing (which means slimy for the most part). Saw back spine works good for things like bunker but that was directly from the bait store, I haven't tried it on anything frozen. The blade could be a touch longer but it works well as is. The edge came scalpel sharp and made short work of everything I tried it on.

Quality cut. Everytime.
For years I have used the Rapala Fish and Fillet wood handled knife, like I'm sure many fisherman out there have in their tackle box. It's a good, quality knife, however after upgrading to this knife, the gripped thicker handle feels just right in the hand, and I'm able to run through panfish fillets quicker, especially when taking skin off. I've owned this knife for a couple years now, and one thing I havent experienced is any rusting or dulling of the knife. Im sure with time itll need a sharpening or two, but it does hold its sharp cut, provided you dont grind the blade against any bones. Either way, I'm very happy I spent the money and purchased this knife, and would return to get the larger blade should i need it.
