Gill Race Cap - 50+ UV Sun Protection

I bought this hat for a multi-day sailing trip in California. My bald head was very grateful for the purchase. The clip prevented it from being lost in San Francisco Bay, so that was great too. I wear it all the time.

All around great hat. Well made and lasts along time. My last one is for years old and still going.

Got this one because the other flew away. Gill is great sailing quality. The tether is strong but in 18knts it will pull off a shirt and fly. Hence this was #2. Great coverage, quality material. I can pick out my son sailing several hundred yards off shore and the hat dries very fast. My son has a small head and it fits well, adjustable and fits an adult head too. Brim and cut it flattering. The quality one expects from Gill.

Lightweight and has UV protection.Very comfortable to wear.

If you love being on a boat, running, or in an area with heavy wind and bright sun, you won't be disappointed. The Hat shades your face well and the built-in cord to connect to your clothing makes sure you don't lose it. I like it so much I bought another one in black.

Does what you would expect - the leash works awesome and that adjustable band makes it super easy to adjust the size of the hat and compensate for various wind conditions. For a sailing-specific hat, this is well worth the money.

Doesn’t fit my head. To much material left over on top of her even after pulling it down.

Works quite well and ~ reasonably is cost effective compared to other alternatives.The cap strap piece - one of the prime reasons for buying - needs to be more robust and secure, instead of a cheap add on. Still some room for quality improvement
