I have been growing my hair out since the start of Covid and went from short and closely trimmed to a pretty long and crazy head of hair. I had always just used the basic hair brush you get at the store with plastic bristles...it worked when my hair was wet or really short but as it grew longer I got frustrated trying to comb my hair so after much research and searching on Amazon I settled on this brush and couldn't be happier. From the first time I brushed my hair (dry) I couldn't believe I had never owned a good brush like this before in my life. I actually look forward to brushing my hair now after a shower as weird as that sounds and it's something I would have never expected to say. The brush has just the right amount of softness to feel great on my scalp but it is also incredibly effective at controlling even the wildest bedhead and it works just as well with dry hair as it does with wet hair. Not sure how long I will keep my growing my hair but I am 100% certain I have found a new hair brush and I will never go back to the cheap styles I used my entire my life. This brush comes with a bag which is great for storage and keeps your brush dry and ready to go. They also included a comb which is perfect for wet hair and also can be used to remove hair from the brush on occasion when it needs it. I have been using this for about 3 months now and would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a new hair brush - especially guys dealing with longer hair than usual who probably have never owned a high quality brush (like myself). Don't research anymore and don't second guess yourself...drop a few bucks on this brush and your head with thank you everyday!!

TL;DR - The paddle brush has a boar bristle and nylon, ball-tipped pin mix that detangles, smooths & creates shine. The comb's teeth are medium-width, which can help detangle in the shower or help clump curls when styling. The messages inside the box are a little weird but it's still cute & for the price, you can't beat it.I LOVE this brush! I have used boar bristle brushes for most of my life (think: two-way wave) and love how they help slick my hair back when styling but I was never truly able to "brush" my hair with it. I rarely "brushed" my hair at all, as it's curly and brushing has always created an undefined lion's mane I'm not a fan of on myself. My hair is coarse, thick, long, and type 3; a, b & c. lol With my hair type and texture I've rarely used brushes other than to detangle before showering but I love how soft, shiny, and smooth this paddle brush has made my hair.I sectioned my hair and prepared myself for the worst but my hair somehow got softer and shinier when I was expecting the usual mad, if not sad-looking poof. I oiled my scalp before brushing my hair again, and that was it. I was sold. It's easy to hold, and the width makes detangling quick. This is my new favorite brush! The comb is great for shower detangling and defining my curls when wet styling. The "rat tail" or pintail, (whatever you call it lol) is great for parting your hair but isn't thin enough to make crisp lines.My husband recently got a short haircut and we're still getting used to it and experimenting. lol It's usually long and this is new territory for both of us but the brush and comb work with his 2 A/B hair amazingly. While wet styling, the comb separates his hair and makes it look casual and effortless. The brush slicks his hair back better than my wave brush can (his texture fights a boar bristle-only brush and a nylon pin brush leaves lines we both aren't big fans of) and creates shiny volume when used dry.I love it when you can wrap the box the gift came in and be done. That being said, I'd call this one giftable. The messages inside the box are a smidge off or weird (Contact immediately if you get a used item? :0 ew lol or the ADHD-trailing-thought of how the brush is made) but I give it a pass as you get the idea and aesthetically, it's cute. I might dock a star if this was expensive but the brush is amazing, under $10, and comes with a rattail comb. You're just going to recycle the box anyway. LOL It is what it is.10/10 highly recommend!

Brushes and straightens out my hair very well, especially when it’s dry. Bristles seem of good quality and very sturdy yet soft. Brush does have a very strong smell out of the box though.

The bristle paddle brush seems well made and comes with a nice comb, which was a great bonus. That said, I have shorter hair, and the brush just isn't the best fit for my needs—it seems better suited for medium to longer hair types. That’s on me for not checking more closely before buying. Still, for the right hair type, I can see it working really well.
