Very well made tool.
This is a very nice tool. It stays pretty square. The main scale is accurate in both the metric and the SAE. The metric vernier scale is very accurate and easy to read. The SAE vernier scale is much more difficult to read. More times then not two of the line will match up and you're trying to do the math in your head....ugh!!!! But again this is quite sufficient for woodworking. It feels good in the hands and I think quicker to set then a combination square. The big locking knob is super sweet to use. Really great as a depth gauge. Now this is listed as a 10 inch marking gauge but it's actually usable up to 8.405 inches or 213.5 mm. So over all I'd have to say this marking gauge is really dynamite. 5 stars. Well done Wen.UPDATE: After using this tool for a little while I find it absolutely invaluable ! ! !

Great quality, but..
This product is great. The shoulder is wide enough, that you really get a great purchase when you place this down on your work surface, and the measurements on the side are dead accurate, but the third row of holes is offset just the slightest bit, unless you're doing something extraordinarily precise, it's probably good enough to get the job done.

Great product for sure!

Better for fairly accurate MM measurements than precision inch measurements
I would give this gauge 4-5 stars if not for what I consider a major flaw in the design of the veneer for the inch measurements. On a normal precision veneer caliper, such as my 1/1000 inch graduated Helios, or a standard dial caliper, graduations are like an engineering scale in decimal format tenths, and hundredths of an inch. For some illogical reason, they graduated this in 1/16 of an inch and the veneer scale in 0.02 increments. This means you are dealing with fractional measurements and adding decimal 0.02 measurements to the fractional measurements. This makes the English Standard measurements a poor compromise unless you are really just working in 1/16ths as it will be more tedious setting the gauge for something like 3 17/64 or 4.80 inches. The metric side is calibrated in mm with the veneer in 0.05mm for a graduation as to 1/20 mm possible.Accuracy of my sample as checked with a digital caliper is with a starting deviation of about 0.01 inch and it is about the same throughout the scale, so 5 inches is 5.012.The metric accuracy is similar, with 50mm measuring about 50.2mm. Using the veneer to set 50.5mm shows 50.7mm. 100mm = 100.17mm on the caliper. While not as accurate as a precision caliper, I would call this acceptable accuracy for the general intended use of the gauge. Please note that the maximum useful scale for measurement and marking is 213mm or 8 3/8 inch. The graduations are easy to read against the black background and if you now how to read a veneer caliper the metric side is easy to use.I have to say that I will probably be returning my gauge as the configuration is not suitable for my use and I can't say it has any advantage over using a dial, digital, or veneer caliper for layout work.

Six stars! Accurate to a 32nd, well made.
Accurately graduated, fine holes. Excellent for the price. Thanks Wen!

Solidly built.
Was a bit surprised when it showed up, has a bit of a heft and it locks down well. Great for even spacing while building 3d printer frames.

It’s good
It’s accurate and seems good quality for what it is. However I wish they had given measurements before the 1”. There is nothing and it would’ve been nice to have had it be used for just a plain ruler, but it still can be
