Gorilla Automotive 71187 Acorn Lug Nuts (1/2" Thread Size)

My 2010 Xterra came with the fancy lug nuts that require a special wrench to remove them as a theft deterrent. I did not like this feature so I wanted to replace them. These lug nuts are not duplicates of the standard lug nuts that came on my Xterra, but they are close enough that only close scrutiny would reveal that one nut on each wheel is different. They bolted right on like they were supposed to and they fit my factory lug wrench.

I needed to replace all my wheel lugs on my 2005 Montana van because of garages using a 13/16 socket on them and and they we 21mm. need less to say they rounded of may of the corners and when you use a 21mm socket on them you have to pound the socket off. the worse were the front wheel and the rear had quit a few of the nut replaced. So I replaced all 20 of them for around $24 and now I can use a 13/16 wheel wrench. they are a good looking nut and for a little better than a buck a piece you can't go wrong.Forrest Bloom

I own a Jaguar XJ8. The factory lug nuts that came on this relatively expensive car are junk. After snapping 2 of the OEM lugs off, I purchased 20 of the Gorilla lug nuts and replaced them all. These are the one's that Jaguar should have put on at the factory in the first place.

The nut is right thread pitch, and overall width is good, but why the heck are they over 2 inches long? Can't put hubcaps back over them.

I have these on my Miata and Tacoma and they work well... They can shape loose with Magnesium rims and should be used with a small dose of low strength loctite...

What can I say, they're lug nuts. They're the same ones I have on my 10 year old car and those have lasted just fine.

Bolted right up but found out that the hex is different then the stock ones so the factory lug wrench won't work. They were very nice and would be five stars if I didnt need to buy a new lug wrench so I can remove the wheels if needs be.
