Loose fitting causing dropouts
I purchased (10) of the Yellow Monoprice Flexboot Cat6 Ethernet Patch 550Mhz cables. The goal was to dress up my network components with these short 12" cables. Soon after installation I noticed that various parts of the network would not connect. If they did connect then a slight touch of the cable would cause a disconnect. The connections seem to fit very loose. I ended up building my own patch cables after this experience and no longer have dropout issues. Also, the cables are not rated at 550Mhz. It is printed right on the cable as 250Mhz. These cables will be returned.

Monoprice Flexboot Cat6 Ethernet Patch Cable - Good, but definitely NOT 550Mhz
The Monoprice Flexboot Cat6 Ethernet Patch Cable (10', yellow) is a seemly solid made Cat6 ethernet cable. All parameters (visually speaking) indicate that this cable is as described here...with one glaring exception - the speed rating is NOT 550Mhz, but rather the maximum Cat6 standard speed of 250Mhz (the jacket is even labeled as such).I am using one of two identical cables (different colors) that I purchased last week. This will certainly test the toughness of the product, as it's being used to connect my work-from-home equipment during the COVID-19 pandemic. It'll get bumped and rearranged for weeks to come. I'll update my review as necessary. Cheers!

Uh, it’s a cable dude
If you’re reading reviews for this you may not need Cat6 gigabit speeds in your life, but this cable will do the trick. Sturdy and black with all the functionality of a Cat6 cable as far as I can tell.

Oustanding value and quality
I have gigabit service from Xfinity. We've been using an SB6190 DOCSIS 3.0 modem, which Xfinity does not support gigabit speeds to. You require a DOCSIS 3.1 Modem, which is going to start around $150. We don't need the full gig speeds for my household, but due to the package we got, it's cheaper to stick with it and use the reduced speeds. Well according to Xfinity, and my previous tests verified this, the SB6190 will only handle around ~480Mbps over DOCSIS 3.0. We recently started to have some signal issues throughout the network, which was wired with miscellaneous cat 5/5e cables I had laying around when I set it up. They worked fine for a while, but boy was I missing out. I ordered 3 of these monoprice cables from Amazon, two 1.5' for connecting my modem to my EdgeRouter-X over POE, and one 30' for running up into the attic to my UAP-AC-Lite. The difference is astounding, and making me question the truth of what I've been told by Xfinity regarding their DOCSIS 3.0 network. Theoretically, 5e should handle up to gigabit speeds without issue, but the line rate is about half (250mhz) of these cat 6 (550mhz) cables, which can make a big difference over long runs especially with a POE environment and/or remote access points. I'm very happy to report that I am now getting OVER 700 mbps on a DOCSIS 3.0 modem and the cleanest wifi signals (previous AP run was cat 5) i've ever had. Absolutely the best $15(total! for all 3!) i've ever spent on my network for gains that are almost unbelievable.

Affordable
It's cheap, but it gets the job done, for the price (3x's less than the next option) it works and fulfills it's intended purpose with no issues. I have fiber gigabit internet, my older ethernet was cat 8 (40GB) but I needed to move my desktop over more and my old cable lacked the length to reach my network switch mounted under my desk. For the price I have absolutely no complaint.

Works as expected, makes me happy
This is a decent quality, but not pricey over built.Should last longer than my computer setup.I use it to file share between 2 computers.Despite some WIN 10 issues, I was able to configure in about 2 hours.Microsoft kept wanting to change my settings. Both computers have wifi, but file sharing eats up wifi bandwidth. The second computer now has similar performance to the host computer external drive access.I am perfectly happy with this item.

Good Quality Ethernet Cable
I bought the 5ft version of this cable to connect my wifi router to the ethernet lines and it works great. I bought it in the basic black, which is unobtrusive and professional looking. The cable seems to be high quality and works with my router. If I were to buy it again, I would probably buy a longer length, but the cable definitely works. I didn't have any problems plugging it in or getting the router to work.

5 stars for the cable. 1 star for the shipping from Amazon
Cable gets a 5 stars. Sturdy and does the job quite well. The only reason I am giving this a 3 star raiting and not a 5 like it deserves was because of the shipping from Amazon. Amazon held onto the package for almost a week and a half before they finally shipped the thing, even though the nearest distribution point is only 35 miles away from me. Amazon shipping gets a 1 star, which knocked the final score to 3. I am not the only one complaining about slow shipping from Amazon either. A lot of Prime members, who pay a lot for fast shipping, are complaining of slow shipping and late arrivals.PROS:Cable is a good one and very sturdy. Well worth the price.CONS:Amazon shipping sucks. It has gone downhill ever since they switched over to their "Amazon Logistics" crap and no longer ship via USPS, UPS, or FedEx. Deliveries that used to take 5-7 days now take 14-16 days. So, in conclusion, if you can find this Monoprice cable elsewhere, get it. Even if it's a bit more, it's more than likely going to get to you weeks before you get it through Amazon.

Poor quality control
On first sight it looks like a decent cable. Cable size is correct and proper copper has been used. However, as I'm using this cable to make my own, I discovered one of the wires pairs is improper manufactured. As you see on the photo's, you can see the bare copper is coming through the protective insulation. It only affects the green pair in my cable, but there is a serious risk of shorting this cable pair.

Cat6 ethernet cable
Great quality cable, works a treat. The only down side was I ordered two and they both arrived on different days, made no sense.

Quality feeling cable
Can really feel the difference between these cables over Cat5e. The cables are a lot thicker and feel like there is more copper used. Although I can not compare to other CAT 6 cables I am getting gigabit speeds through these so I am happy enough.
