This book is awesome! Finally we found a book that my son really enjoys. It has the best reading comprehension passages such as Peter Pan, the White Cat, Little Snow White.... We have tons of other books for reading comprehension and he refuses to read them. The grammar lessons are very straight forward and easy for him to understand. Thank you!

I found the excerpts to be unnecessarily complex for 2nd graders. For example, this is how they begun the Three Bears story, "Little Goldilocks was a pretty girl who lived once upon a time in a far-off country". My daughter thought that this was a mistake, and I struggled explaining to her that it wasn't. Is this really necessary for second graders? What value does it add?In the story The White Cat, they write the following, "...after agreeing to be back at the castle at the same hour and on the same day, when a year should have passed away..." Really? Is this even grammatically correct. And even if it is, it certainly shouldn't be in a second graders book imo. The reason I do not have more examples is that we stopped using it after the second week, it was frustrating my kid too much.I did not like the book and would not recommend it. Nothing against Argo Brothers, but imo, they struck out on this one. I do however love their 2d grade common core Math book and did give it 5 stars

I really like the layout and content of this book but there are quite a few typos. I feel like for an ELA book, there should be less. It needs to be proofread better.

Review: This Argo Brothers 2nd Grade Math Daily Practice Workbook was excellent to help prepare our son for second grade. It included a survey of word problems, diagrams, charts, shapes, symbols, place columns, number sentences, counting money, and even some elementary geometry. Self explanatory. Did not need to use video explanations.

Typos in an instructional school book, that is just unacceptable. And there were many typos, not just one
