Gold Medal Premium Quality All Natural Whole Wheat Flour, 5 lb

I wanted something a little better to bake bread.It’s healthy, has more fiber than the regular one. Nothing smells better than a freshly baked bread coming out of the oven.

Very nice. I make this with some white flour and it's delicious. I was surprised. I really don't like wheat bread, but this changed my mind. It was also cost-worthy and very fresh, so my bread is, too. I'll be making more soon.

I use this flour for 100% whole wheat bread, which I bake myself every week, in proportions of about 2/3 this flour and 1/3 pastry whole wheat. It's not the best whole wheat flour I've used for bread, but it's good enough - I like a robust bread texture, and the slightly coarser grind works well for that when combined with pastry whole wheat.However, my last monthly shipment was delayed twice (this is the second time in a year that's happened) and when it finally arrived, it was a month past the "Best By" date on the package, there were moth larvae growing in it, it smelled rancid, and when I used it in a loaf of bread (which I had already started before I opened the sealed bag and discovered the moth larvae, and couldn't afford to waste all the other ingredients), the bread was bitter, at which point I sniffed the flour and found it smelled rancid.I'd rather skip a month than receive food that's been sitting in the warehouse too long. Does Amazon need my $5.29 THAT badly?? Tried to request a refund, and clicked through a zillion screens, but in the end, but there was no way to do so. I guess Amazon is willing to go to any lengths to keep my $5.29, whether I got what I paid for or not. They have become too big to be held accountable. I was going to give them another chance, but when I was unable to request a refund, I cancelled my subscription. I'll buy local instead. It costs more, but at least I'll be able to see what I'm getting before I hand over my hard-earned dollars.

Makes wonderful rolls

Great product! I use it to feed my sourdough starter and make bread....but I removed a star for the packaging ...I order it with 2 bags of regular flour and they used to individually wrap the bags in plastic. Now they just toss them all in a box and twice the bags busted open! I was able to salvage most of it but wish they'd go back to the plastic wrap!!

I only bake with this brand as it is just superior. My only issue is the way it's delivered and the fact that it spills all over the delivery box. PLEASE just put a small sticker tape on the opening but keep it in the paper container that it comes in, Please no plastic and don't change anything about the quality or the price.
