⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Honest Review! Great Product (3rd & 4th Pictures), But Be Careful With the Other product!
I’m giving five stars only because the product shown in the 3rd and 4th pictures works really well. It’s easy to use, simple to adjust the rope, and has a solid grip. You can see in the photos, I leaned my full weight on it while standing on a steep 9:12 roof, and it didn’t move an inch. It gave me confidence, and I’d definitely recommend that version.Unfortunately, I couldn’t review each item separately, so I have to mention everything here. Now for the 1st and 2nd pictures do not buy that version unless the issue is fixed. If you do, make sure it’s assembled correctly. Check my attached photos: the rough side that grips the rope should be on the inside and not the smooth side as shown in the 1st picture. That setup won’t hold you, and it’s a major safety hazard. Please be careful. Don’t rely on misleading reviews—your life is more important. Always double check the build before using it.

Effectiveness/ durabity
I like its mechanics, strong bite on the rope. The more weight on it the harder it grips. Easy to use. Not ideal for hunting as it makes noise opening closing and putting carabiner in. But it's what I have, it is what I'm using.. it does pinch rope really tightly. So much so it is deforming my tether over time.

Keeps me safe while rappelling

Meh
Works but feels flimsy and cheap. For the price you’re better off with a name brand that’s built with quality. Not sure I’d recommend using these

Quality and price all in one
Originally I was skeptical about the quality of this product due to it's low price compared to other name brand items. However, once I received the item and was able to test it, there is NO DOUBT on it's quality!!Works great, good price, high quality! I will definitely be buying another one in the future.

Saved my life
It saved my ass when I fell out of my tree stand last year. I highly recommend this product and this way you don't have to fool with that stupid pursik knot tightening up on you while you are trying to climb into and out of your stand

Easy to use, grips very well
It's an ascender and grips very well. There's no slip even when I tried it on thin ropes. This device is not meant to be a heavy-duty fall protection device. You still need a rope grab for fall protection. As an ascender, it is meant to prevent slipping, rather than to arrest a fall from a high distance away. This same device is sold by several other companies under different labels, and some of the sellers list the rating of this as 4,000 Newtons. To give you an idea of what this means, a person weighing 170 lbs and falling 10 ft down would generate a maximum arresting force on the rope of approximately 2,500 to 3,000 Newtons. In other words, this ascender doesn't have a lot of safety margin against high falls, but again, it's not designed for fall protection. It's an ascender and not a rope grab.Secondly, the catching mechanism uses a fairly acute blade-shaped wedge to dig into the rope to stop slipping. That acute blade shape could sever the rope if someone falls from a high place.
