It was easy to use and, at less than $24, very reasonably priced. I wore it to a daytime, alcohol-free Oktoberfest celebration at the university where I work at (it's a public university but has no liquor license). The costume was a hit! I actually got surprised looks from people, many of whom complimented me on the outfit. This was all the more appropriate since I was the only one who bothered to wear anything even remotely Bavarian to the event (kind of hard to have an Oktoberfest feeling when everyone's dressed the way they always dress plus there's no beer). Because of this, my picture was taken various times by a photographer for the student-newspaper so I suppose me and the Lederhose will be somewhere on the campus website soon. Anyway, this outfit comes highly recommended, though it is a costume and not something you would take on a serious hike to an Oktoberfest in an Alpine meadow or anything like that. Great for parties!

This costume was really good, and actually came with a lot of stuff (socks, pants/straps, hat, undershirt). The straps are a bit lose and kept falling down (especially if you are at a drinking event and walking around a lot). The hat was tiny for my head (I normally wear 7 5/8 fitted hats) but that wasn't a big issue, I just used it like a yamaka

Good lederhosen for the money. We had to lengthen the suspenders to get rid of the perma-wedgie and whatever the guy equivalent of camel toe is. He's 200 lbs, 6'3" and we got a XL for him, if that helps anyone. Otherwise they'll be just fine!Oh, the hat is pretty small too...it fit my 8 year old, but looked pretty goofy on my husband.

I purchased this costume as a dual purpose outfit for both Halloween parties as well as Oktoberfests. The first thing I noticed about the costume was the quality of the material and sewing. The shirt is silk like and pretty comfortable. The lederhosen itself is a bit poorly sewn in a few areas. The fit is ok but a touch snug in some areas. The suspenders are not adjustable or removable. In order to relieve yourself, you must slip out of the suspenders and down the shorts to take care of business which is a bit of an inconvenience. They should have put a fly or some kind of flap in the front. The hat is not shaped as it appears in the advertisement. It comes flat shipped in the package and somewhat floppy like a hillbilly hat or something. If you are looking for a cheap costume that you wont wear for many hours, this is probably alright for most people. But, for a whole day or long evening drinking, you might consider a higher end lederhosen set.

Bought this less expensive outfit costume and am happy with it. Large fit as most larges would. Not anything crazy quality, but gets the job done just fine over more expensive ones.Buy a hat to go with it as a side item because the hat is a bit cheaper.

Ordered a large for my 5'8" husband. The biggest issue is that the suspenders which are sewn into the shorts are way too short! (wedgie) and the shorts too large, hanging down in the back. Fabric is very thin, the chest piece on the suspenders covered the v-neck of the shirt and the hat is just a wadded up mess. AND I can't return it because I opened the package!! Halloween Express return policy is too restrictive. I've never had problems returning items purchased on Amazon before. I also never found the return policy until after I requested a return. Don't buy from Halloween Express!

For the price, its hard to beat. The hat is horrible, but the rest is great for a few nights worth of partying. Mine got a couple tears after a night of indulgence, but it still looks really good. The stockings are a nice touch.Bottom line, if you are looking for an affordable Octoberfest costume, this one cannot be beat. Just look for another option for a hat if you want one.

I ordered this costume for my husband and it fit perfectly. It was cute and fit perfectly for our German Christmas theme. My husband put it on on Christmas Eve and noticed a small tear in the hip area. Then after about thirty minutes of wear, the entire front shredded open. This was a different spot then the tear he discovered when he first put the costume on. My mom had to take it and zigzag the front with another piece of material to hold it together for the night. I can take a photo if needed to show this.
