After years of trying different battery powered magnetic option for localized lighting in my shop I came across these. They are so good that I've bought two more.Magnetic base is strong, low profile, and works.The flexible gooseneck is perfect. Easy to move, yet always holds it's position. No sag.The LEDs seem to be perfect as well, delivering plenty of light right where you want it.I first installed one on a drill press. It was so perfect for getting the light exactly where I needed it, I hardwired it into the drill press power.I've now got them on machines all over the shop. Lathe, belt sander, bench grinder. Two lamps come in one package . Both utilize a fully adjustable “gooseneck” which are easy to adjust and stay where you aim them.I purchased the 6000 K “daylight” which are perfect and although are very bright, they do not glare. I utilized four of these lights ( two per box ) on my drill press to eliminate any shadows. These are perfect for sewing machines and similar applications.Each lamp also comes with a metal base that can be attached to virtually any non-magnetic item or machine, to which the magnetic base of each lamp can stick to. This provides the ability to utilize these lamps virtually anywhere at any angle. Each lamp comes with a small rocker switch that allows simple control of each lamp.These are simply fantastic little lamps that get the job done at a very reasonable price !

These are perfect lights to add to a crafting area. I use them on my sewing table to help see threading, etc. I also use them while I'm crocheting—perfect when working with small yarns and threads. I highly recommend them. The magnetic feature, naturally, attaches to any metal structure, so if your sewing machine is in a plastic case, you'll have to use double-sided tape. I have a metal sewing table, so it works out great.

When I first saw how small this gooseneck lamp was, I didn't expect how well it would work. The light source is less than 1 inch wide and about 3 inches long. The gooseneck part is only 7 inches long. I put it on the tailstock of my full-size, Jet lathe while I turned a 20 inch long furniture leg. That little lamp lit up the entire work piece and never moved from the tailstock even though the tailstock is round. It has one strong magnet! A set of discs are supplied with adhesive on their backs in case you need to mount this lamp on a non-ferrous metal. The gooseneck is too short to attach it to base of the tool rest or to the lathe rails. A longer gooseneck would make this lamp more versatile as would a longer power cord, which is only 52 inches long. Other than that, I highly recommend this lamp.After using the lights 2 weeks, one of them failed. When switching that one on, it would like intermittently and would sometimes making a hissing sound. I was using it on top of the tail-stock of a Chinese mini-lathe while turning brass. The brass particles were flying everywhere and some of them could have gotten into the mini-toggle switch. I asked for a replacement and (both were replaced) received it 2 days later. The other LED light is on my wood lathe and it gets vacuumed frequently. After receiving the replacements, I placed a piece of packing tape over the switches in the on position. I'll just plug them in when I need to use them. I took one point off from the overall rating because of this. I still recommend these. They are otherwise very good.

I used these on buy drill press and bandsaw. They are super. Great light. Strong magnet. Easy to position. Hold the ,position.

My wife bought a set of these for sewing - loved it. I took the other one to my shop for detail work on my bench. We like them so much we are going to order more. The little metal disks make it possible to use them in various locations, and the light is bright. Seem to be solidly made, but have only had them for a short time. Can beat the price, too!

Perfect for my Sailrite sewing machine. Wish the cords were longer.

Ordered these for side of front loading washer and dryer so I could be sure to remove all the laundry. They lights are very bright and flexible. Love them. Strong magnetic base.
