I just received this book after pre-orderig it, and it is even more gorgeous than it appears in the photos. The hardback cover is a lovely soft pale pink with metallic foil lettering, and the pages are gilt-edged. A nice quality volume that anyone would be proud to display on their shelf or table.As a unicorn lover, I was excited to see the wide variety of articles and features, from unicorn "history," legends and folklore, to unicorn-themed recipes, crafts and costumes. The illustrations and photographs are just beautiful. It isn't just a rehash of the same old material found in every other unicorn book, but rather seems quite original and fresh while still maintaining a fanciful classic, timeless quality.This is a perfect book for unicorn fans of any age, and while it's a bit spendy, it's well-worth the price, whether as a gift for a very lucky unicorn aficionado...or for yourself! You won't be disappointed.

I absolutely love this book. Its a great next from the Mermaid and Faerie Handbooks. These are collection books, not for young children. The artwork is sublime, great writing. Very pleased.

Beautiful book, just please note this is NOT FOR KIDS. There are pages on unicorns and sexuality etc. Definitely for adults:
