E-outstanding D-Cell Battery Holder 4PCS D Size Battery Holder Box Container with 2Pin Series or Parallel

I've already submitted one rave review on these but I will say again, if you use D-Cells for anything, this holder is the very best I've ever seen, having 'put up' with truely terrible ones over the years. These are versatile to the max with very clever versatility for connecting in Series, Parallel, or Series-Parallel. Large heavy contacts easily tapthe full potential of the good old 'D', compared to the tiny wimpy leads attached to other holders. If you try these, I bet you will be as delighted as I am.

IF you want 1.5 V at 4X the current then these are great. They snap together + to + and - to - next to each other but that is only 1.5 VDCAll the - terminals (springs) clip together side by side. Tap a - & + terminal at the end and it's only 1.5V.Cannot reasonably connect more than 2 in series (- to+) so only 3 V for the pair.For me to get 6VDC out I would have to solder jumpers - to + 3 times with 6VDC out of the unconnected - & +.

Dislike for two reasons. The metal connections between each unit is poorly designed where even if you bend them they just don’t make a good connection, and also there should be some type of clips that you could slide between each one as you connect them so it locks them together.

Wish these were available in all popular battery sizes. Clever configuration allows you to customize and add as many cells as you like. The only D cell holder I will use from now on.
