Insightful Investigation Into Significance of Numbers in Scripture!
This is an amazing book & reference that investigates the significance of numbers in Scripture (the Bible). Bullinger's reseach and insight into this topic is excellent.First, Bullinger investigates patterns in numbers in the things made by God, such as the heavens, chronology, nature, vegetables, physiology, chemistry, sound & music, and color.Next, he investigates patterns of numbers in the Word of God, such as the books of the Bible, the writers of the Bible, and occurrences of words & phrases in the Bible. Then he investigates the spiritual significance of numbers themselves, from 1 through 15, 17, 19, 20, and so forth up to 666.While the investigation itself is deep, the way it is presented is straightforward and easy to read, and is organized so that the reader can either read straight thru, or jump in and out to the numbers or concepts desired at a given moment.Overall, the book is an excellent resource for anyone with more than a casual interest in the Bible, and is useful for anyone desiring to understand another facet of God's design & messages for mankind.I have studied this topic at length for a number of years, and yet found his insight educational, interesting, thought-provoking, and even fun.I actually read the 2011 printing of this book by Martino Publishing, but expect any copy to be equally useful.I hope you enjoy this book as much as I have and continue to do.

a brilliant and inspired work
This book is an absolute must read, and study, for any serious student of the Bible. E.W. Bullinger's work is, in my humble opinion, a brilliant and inspired work. It had a profound effect on me and I believe that if you read it, you will never look at the Bible the same way again. It will open your eyes and mind to the incredible, loving detail that God crafted in His Word. Bullinger will convince anyone sincerely seeking the truth that the Bible is a supernatural work of God and far different than any book written by man. I have given many copies of this book away to those I believe were seeking to know the Lord more intimately, and will continue to do so.

Great reference guide
Great reference for looking at prophetic meaning of numbers. When I am curious I look and see what a number could mean and then pay attention while reading the Word to see if I come to the same conclusions they do. It is important to rely on the Holy Spirit to guide your understanding but references like this are good for kick-starting an interest in digging deeper into some of the mysteries hidden in the Word. Everything God wrote was with design and purpose and numbers are important to God and convey spiritual meaning. Understanding the meaning of numbers also helps with biblical dream interpretation.

It is a very inspirational book. Loads of knowledge for the mature Christian.
I was introduced to this book near 30 years ago. I keep one on every desk for ready reference. Number in scripture are very important. Otherwise they would not have said there were 153 fish in the net, when Jesus told them to cast the net on the other side of the boat!

2nd Best
Though a classic in its field, I find "Biblical Mathematics: Keys to Scripture Numerics" by Ed F. Vallowe to be more informative and exciting, with many God glorifying insights. Bullinger's work is more a reference, while Vallowes is a much better read.

Proving God's Perfection
I already own this. I am ordering another as a gift for a friend.God does not need MAN to prove His supreme perfection, but since there are people here on earth that feel led to, it only bolsters unequivocal, absolute proof that God and everything that He has created is perfect. This book is one of those that proves it.It is easy to understand and in a minor sense it is a form of trivia, because there are facts contained therein that the average person does not know.

A wonderful resource for anyone reading and studying the Bible
A wonderful resource for anyone reading and studying the Bible. I've always known that there are numbers in everything. However, when you see the Creators hand in the scriptures and words and know what the numerical value is of words and meanings, you can understand and appreciate how much influence numbers have on what you say and read!

Great flat earth disciple of Jesus
Great book analysing many aspects of events in the KJV Bible. He believed the earth was flat as it states in the Bible and we have extensive evidence supporting this knowledge now. See Edward Hendrie. Evolution has always been contested because there no evidence to support it. It is the knowledge of the world which Jesus and the apostles exposed time and again to be the enemy of God Almighty. Jesus will change all that when he returns, quite possibly in 2025! For more evidence of God see Ron Wyatt discoveries of the red sea crossing at Nuweiba beach. mount sinai at Jebel al-lawz, the Noah's ark in Turkey, the ark of the covenant in Jerusalem. The KJV Bible is literal as we shall see when Jesus returns.

Excellent Bible Exposition
Can't begin to describe how deep and insightful this book is. It was written in the nineteenth century by a real Bible scholar who put in the hard yards of research. It's a far cry from many modern Christian books, which seem little more than feelgood self-help manuals with a few Bible verses thrown in.He analyses every number mentioned in the Bible in detail and helps to unfold its symbolic meaning. The superstious and some conspiracy theorists I know would do very well to read the section on 666! God never intended anyone to become fearful or carried away by hysteria over a simple number. This electronic edition is the best I've found, and the contents section lets you jump to any chapter. I wish there was a hard copy available, but it may be out of print. The author also wrote 'The Witness of the Stars' which I can highly recommend.

Finding the Hidden Treasure in Bible Numerics
Numbers in Scripture is an intellectually stimulating yet readable source of reference, examining in a variety of contexts from the Bible, the significance of numbers, their patterns and their symbolism.Underpinned by a wealth of biblical references, (linked for example, to names, periods of time, usage of words, tribes, governments, judgement etc.) this biblical study will enhance your understanding of the Bible; yielding valuable insights into its structure and its rich symbolism... and I'm writing, by the way, as someone who believes in the literal truth of all events recorded in the Bible.Bullinger's work is divided into two sections: Part 1 - Supernatural Design (Subdivided into two chapters entitled 'The Works of God' and 'The Word of God'); and Part 2 Spiritual Significance, exploring the significance of each number used in the Bible. In Bullinger's own words in the Preface, 'May the result of this contribution ... be to stimulate the labours of Bible students to strengthen beliebvers in their most holy faith; and to convince doubters of the Divine perfection and inspiration of the Book of Books to the praise and glory of God.'Recommended.
