Don't mess around, it's not spending more money, it's getting more value
For car camping or overlanding (same difference), with the space you get with a pickup or trailer, this is the best cooking tool you will find. I've had a couple of other camp stoves like this in the last 30 years, and it's clear to me the cost/value makes the Camp Chef the winner.Once you get past the OMG! A real stove! the differences in Camp Chef products in general become apparent. Super annoying to have the realization that you bought the wrong tool before, when the right tool comes along and blows them all away (see Everest 2 tiny stove). We have an off-road utility trailer for carrying whatever we want, and so plenty of room for the Expedition. BUT, it also lives on our back porch next to the pellet smoker - THE BEST pizza oven we've found (850 deg) fits right on top, Christmas Eve pizza parties are so fun! Pro tip - don't take the pizza oven camping.

RV Campers will be saying "Weber Who?"
I was looking to replace our 5 year old Thermos Grill 2 go. It was a clever piece and thought it was everything to be expected when cooking with a portable BBQ/Stove.My RVing takes us to the Beach (windy) the Desert (also windy) and the Mountains (over 7000ft) all these are challenging for a camp stove.I accepted that it takes 20 minutes to cook a steak, bacon is never crispy(the way we like it) and hash browns, or anything that required browning was out of the question. At a total of 12,000BTU it was suitable to light duty cooking. When I asked around to see what my other RV er's suggested or was using allot of them said Weber 100 or 200, but they seem allot for what you got. And you didn't get allot. Somehow I remembered Camp Chef and some of there Awesome stuff I saw at a cook-out. I researched it and found I really like there concept.First chose a stove that fit's you needs (1,2,3 burners) and then add the stuff you need/want. This one comes with a double sided griddle so all I added was the BBQ box and then treated myself to the folding side shelves(worth it).I know have 60,000 BTU. I can now cook 4 16oz Rib-eye steaks in 10-minutes, Bacon is crispy and fast and I can make my potatoes O'brien in record time. I got this stove and ALL my accessories for just over $200 which is about the same price of the Weber that cam highly recommended. And it flat out WORKS in all conditionsI'll admit I was first concerned about the weight, but the Unit it was replacing weighed 62 pounds so it turns out that I'm lighter and it actually takes up less space and set-up is less than 5 minutes. I did splurge on the Carrying case though.Get this stove and you will be the envy of the campground

Excellent all-around stove
We bought the Camp Chef Expedition 2x to replace the anemic and undersized 2-burner stove that attaches to the side of our Coleman tent trailer. Using a regulator on the high-pressure gas feed from the camper, this stove hooks up quickly and easily. We initially picked up a 3-burner model at Costco, but returned it when we realized how much weight that third burner adds. Weight is a major consideration for us considering we are towing everything. Anyway, this stove has worked out perfectly. The burners produce plenty of heat for everything from brewing coffee to cooking burgers on the accompanying grill. The flame is consistent and easy to control, and the wind shield does an adequate job of protecting the flame. Granted, we position the stove close to the camper, so that provides protection too. Everything comes apart easily for cleaning, and the optional Camp Chef carrying case we bought holds everything easily. The only minor beef I have is you have to be careful with things requiring lower heat...for example, we set the coffee pot off to the edge of the burner to keep it warm. Otherwise, there is plenty of space to cook a complete meal for our family of 4. The matchless ignition is a nice bonus and works perfectly every time.

Perfect size!
Got this stove to take overloading. It is the perfect size for the family. I can fit a whole package of bacon, throw on some hash browns and then pour on the eggs right after and have full plates for all of us. I used to have the small little camp stove with the green propane bottles, but it would take forever to cook a few pieces of bacon, a hashbrown... a pancake and then a few eggs. something was always cold!recommend getting a small 5lb propane tank, it has lasted a few camping trips without needing to refill and the stove does not waste propane.

Great stove for the camp cook!
Great stove. I would recommend this to anybody wishing to own a stove for camping that really likes to cook or has a big crowd. The newer models are easy to adjust the flame on. Goes together in a flash. Everything you need is there except your propane tank. Two things I wish it had were a carrying case (optional) and adjustable legs. It's a little lower than I would prefer, but works fine. I agree with the concerns about the grease trap on the griddle. It will fill up fast and is difficult to empty while cooking. But really, an all around great stove.

VERY happy with this stove!!
I bought this so that I could run my pressure canner outside and it works perfectly! My main concerns when shopping for an outdoor burner for canning were 1. Sturdiness 2. Flame adjustment. This stove has definitely met those needs. It easily handles a full All American 930. The grate above the burners is a beast! I am able to adjust the flame with plenty of accuracy to run my canner nice and smooth from start to finish. I've used it 4 times now, each time being around 2 hours total, and everything has worked amazingly well. I haven't used both burners at once yet, but there is plenty of room to comfortably use a HUGE pot on each burner. This stove is an excellent buy!
