Great product, Great support
I purchased this 5 months ago in November. I've been using it for time-lapse nightscape photography and love it. The range is only about 20 to 25 feet, but that's better than being stuck to a corded shutter release. Unfortunately, the remote quit working. I thought I was stuck with a defective product. I thought I was getting the run-around. Amazon said contact the manufacturer. The manufactured said contact the seller. I could only contact the seller through Amazon. The seller was knight-official. Knight-official was very responsive. In a little over a week I had a replacement. The process was hassle free. Thank you Knight-official for your outstanding customer service.

So much better than IR remote
I burned through a Nikon IR shutter release and an off-brand, they both stopped working for some reason. I've had this for a few months now and it has been great. No issues at all and it is very responsive. I'd say it's definitely worth the upgrade.

Good, but not the Holy Grail
Amazon frequently asks me to review a product I purchased right after I bought it and haven't had enough time to use it yet. In this case, this is the second time I've bought this intervalometer. No, the first one didn't wear out. I decided an external intervalometer would serve me better than the internal intervalometer in my Nikon Z6II. I had a trip to Kauai coming up soon and big plans from a photography stand point. The simple solution was to get the proper cable for the Nikon Z6II. The problem was that every vendor I checked, including Amazon could not deliver the cable before I needed to leave for my trip. Alas, I could get the cable I needed if I bought the new intervalometer with a week and a half to spare.I've used the intervalometer for about 3 years now and it has worked flawlessly. The battery life is good and has never stopped working for the duration of time I've needed it to work. So I have no problems with how it is supposed to work. The reason that I didn't give it a 5 star rating is that it is not capable of changing camera settings internally such as aperture and shutter speed (i.e. the Holy Grail of timelapse photography) during changing light conditions. What is that a big deal about changing setting manually? While in Kauai I was shooting a sunset time lapse. In a normal sunset timelapse, I will probably use an average 5 second interval, give or take a second or two. In Kauai that night, the tradewinds dictated a 1 second interval. That isn't enough time for me to adjust the aperture or shutter speed without risking camera shake on the tripod. So I shot it at a 2 second interval. The clouds were screaming across the sky that night and the 2 second interval, while allowing me to safely change settings, was too long.I have tried intervalometers that can change the settings in the camera with mixed success. Connections have been problematic, which may be a Nikon problem rather than the intervalometer, but given the fact that I've never had connectivity problems with this intervalometer, I'm leaning more toward the other intervalometers being the problem, rather than the camera. So take my opinion, from a 4 star standpoint, with a grain of salt. If you want to shoot timelapses in a stable light condition and/or don't have any intention of changing settings in the middle of a timelapse, this is a great and reasonably priced intervalometer. You can also do longer exposure photography in bulb mode with this intervalometer. Lastly, if you are comfortable making the changes to shutter, aperture and ISO between shots, as I am, this intervalometer will work great for you.

great but stopped working
I love this remote. So when mine stopped working, I was very sad. I tried everything to figure out what was wrong. I thought it might be my camera's wireless connection since I'd been tinkering with it earlier....nope, other wireless things worked. So, since I had the remote for more than the 30 days and couldn't return it, I bought a new one. The new one worked wonderfully! Then I did some experimenting to find out which part of the old remote set had gone bad. I traded out all parts and eventually found out that the CORD was the culprit. So, now I have two perfectly working remotes.Don't forget to check the cord if something goes wrong.

failed after ~10 nights of use
I bought this unit for use with my Z6. My initial impressions were good. It did more than I needed and it was a good price. But after using this for about 10 nights the shutter release function stopped working. It will focus on a half press, but will not release the shutter on a full press. I have tested this unit on multiple cameras, and it fails on all of them. I have verified the remote port works by using a Nikon release cable.

Works with Nikon D5600
Very happy with this product. I only use Single and Bulb, did not test other modes.PROS:For Nikon D5600, half shutter release works ( activates autofocus )Uses standard AAA batteriesBacklight on both transmit / receiver units ( stays on for 5 secs at a time )CONS:For cameras with a fully articulating screen, the DC2 connector/wire can get in the way.Receiver has a flashing green LED when on and is too bright for night time use. Had to cover it with Painter's tape.Very tight fit on the hot shoe initially but eventually got better.

Works well with a Nikon D5200
Arrived on time! Came in a nice little box. English instructions are second set in the book.Would suggest attaching it to your camera and playing with it for about 30 minutes to get the feel for how it works. It does not come with batteries so go buy a set of 4AAA batteries. Looking forward to testing it doing some astrophotography! When the skies clear up I'll post results here.

Works great
Works great and works as designed but the display is hard to read at times because the LCD segment sometimes doesn’t work as it should.
