VTech CS6509 Accessory Cordless Handset, Silver/Black | Requires VTech CS6519 or CS6529 to Operate

For those of us who prefer the comfort and reliability of a land line, this is the way to go. Once you have the base model, you can add these economically-priced handsets as needed. They function flawlessly! Sound quality is excellent, the weight and size is comfortable, (even for extended conversations), the base charger is attractive and takes up very little space and the battery lasts a good, long time between charges. I have a couple of these and I'm very happy with their performance.

I have used this set with 4 handsets for well over 10 years and still works beautifully. untill I accidently left one out in the rain. Ordered a new extension but had trouble getting it to register with the main cradle. I called Mike, the tec, who returned my call promptly. He was knowledgeable, patient and courteous and got me up and running quickly. If I ever need to replace my existing phone set I will certainly go to vtech. needless to say that I am very happy with my purchase. Thank you vtech.

I purchased two of these phones, one worked fine but the other one did not register with the base unit even after numerous attempts. I filed for a refund and returned the defective phone per Amazon's instructions. I paid $16.95 for each phone but the refund for the one defective phone was only for $8.90. I would like an explanation but have not found any way to contact Amazon for an answer.

I really wanted to LOVE THESE PHONES. I replaced my Panasonic phones because of Panasonic’s poor sound (always seemed muffled). While the sound quality is better on the vtech phones, and I love all the handsets and accessibility from many rooms, I REALLY MISS having the calls announced by name of caller. Also, I haven’t found a way to assign certain ringtones to select callers. That was so awesome to have. I always knew which one of my family members were calling by the ringtone. Maybe I’m missing something because I haven’t had them very long. and we’re still “making friends” 😊. That said, the backlight for caller ID is dim and more difficult to read than my previous phone. What I DO like is the small footprint of the main phone as well as the accessory phones. They also come in an array of colors that are very cool. If there is a way to assign ringtones, or get caller announcement on these phones, which I have yet to learn about, I will give an update to this review. Installation was easy, sound quality and volume very good. I hope there is a way to do with this phone the major things I’m missing from my old one.

I have been using these phones for years and in a move we misplaced a Handset. I was so happy when I found out I could purchase a new handset that would work with the existing base station. It was very easy to connect and to register all I had to do was place it in the existing base station. The price was perfect and if I ever feel the need to add more I will be purchasing these. Make sure to get the handset that works with your phone as there are a few different models.

I ordered this product to put it in my garage so I could hear my phone while working in the yard. It arrived early. I had a problem with installation but it arrived with instructions on who to call. The gentleman was great he walked me though the process. I was not able to keep the product because the system only allows 5 phones to be hooked up at one time - this was my 6th. I would have kept it because it had good tone quality and the lights were bright. The Seller was wonderful and very helpful!

I bought 5 of these to expand my current phone system. Confuguration failed on 2 but the other 3 worked great. very good deal when they work, good battery life, low static.

This was a replacement for an old VTech cordless phone unit that was misbehaving. Pay careful attention to the exact compatible model numbers in the description of the many Vtech units available, but if you do that you will be fine. I have no idea whether this unit has been changed in any way internally, but I would bet against it - this unit is perfectly compatible and is functionally identical. Charge it up, plug it into the original base unit until it beeps, and you are ready to go with all your directory info correctly transferred.
